🇬🇷 Sparta Trifecta World Championships — DNS ☹️ Not quite the start to Greece I had in mind… Last Wednesday, I was training on the sleds. The following day, I had to abort my run after 10km. The bump on my left ankle had been causing me issues since July, and I guess this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. An ultrasound on Saturday revealed a ganglion cyst. After struggling to find an urgent appointment, I eventually found a clinic that could drain it yesterday (don’t swipe right if you’re squeamish). 🦶💉 Unfortunately, I’m still limping, and the risk of infection is too high to justify racing this weekend. As much as it hurts, it’s the right decision. I’m gutted. This would have been my first time racing the Trifecta World Championships in Greece, and I was hoping for a miracle recovery. But the Ancient Greek gods clearly had other plans! 😂🇬🇷 I’m hoping to be back on my feet in the next few days. I’m not quite ready to write off the next two races just yet — an ultra next week and a marathon the week after — but for now, it’s rest and recovery. I’ll be there to spectate and support @therunnerbean, who’ll be racing for both of us! ❤️💪 #SpartanRace #TrifectaWorldChampionships #SpartanGreece #ObstacleCourseRacing #OCR by @das_endurance
🇭🇷 SPARTAN BEAST HVAR | 4TH PLACE | 2:20:08 What an incredible race! 🔥 The second race of the Adriatic Series and, for most of it, @josef_drbohlav and I were having an absolute battle, exchanging places throughout and pushing each other all the way. In the end, I couldn’t stay with him on the final swim, finishing 4th for the second year in a row. Official time: 2:20:08 ⏱️ The crazy thing? Just 3 seconds between this year’s time and last year’s! An unbelievable race and still my favourite race of the year. @federicadecaria @fergal.keaney 📸🎥 #SpartanRace #SpartanBeast #Hvar #SpartanAdriaticSeries #OCR by @das_endurance

Spartan Beast Badminton 🏃‍♂️💪 A seriously fast one today! I was running well from the start, having a good battle with Morgan through the first third before pressing on and spending most of the race in 3rd, with Dan and Roman ahead. Samuel Castella came flying through with a strong surge on the bucket carry and just managed to overtake me before we both landed our spears and crossed the line literally seconds apart. 4th place in the end, but I’m really positive about today. After feeling so sluggish last week, it was great to feel the running come back. Over half a marathon on trail, 32 obstacles and 1:33 —probably my quickest Beast to date! ⚡️ On to the next one!💪 #Spartan #SpartanRace #Aroo by @das_endurance
OCR World Championships 2026 🇮🇪💪 Two races down, both completed with 100% obstacle completion and all my wristbands intact. Yesterday’s 3K was a tough one, my legs just didn’t fire, finishing 8th in my age group. Today felt better. I pushed the start, although I made a meal of a hook obstacle that set me back. I managed to claw my way back to 5th overall, a position I’m happy with given the fatigue in the body right now. Massive congratulations to @gavinhogarthocr on two incredibly dominant performances-fully deserved 🥇 One more day tomorrow for the team event. Proud to represent the National Mixed Team 🇬🇧and looking forward to rounding off the weekend! 💪 #OCR #WorldChamps #BritishObstacleSports by @das_endurance
Yesterday I took on Mission 247. A 12-hour hybrid team ultra in Holmfirth. Every hour from 7am–7pm, we tackled a 5km technical trail with 200m of climbing, then spent the remaining time on the SkiErg to score extra points. 60km running, 2000m elevation, thousands of meters on the ski.😮‍💨 I was honoured to be invited to race with Team @roxfit.app . With 40 teams on the start line, we gave everything and finished 8th against a seriously savage field. This wasn’t your typical ultra. The relentless climbs, technical trails and constantly high heart rate switching between running and skiing made it one of the toughest events I’ve done. Massive thanks to my teammates, our amazing support crew, Ben and Joey, @georgeheaton and everyone @247represent for putting on such an epic event. It was a vibe🙌🔥 #Team #Roxfit #Mission247 by @das_endurance
One for the history books? 🗺️🏆🧡🥹 Swipe to see the decisions behind @das_endurance World’s Toughest Mudder win. 191 km, lapping the entire field, twice. A steep but successful learning curve. Most common post-race question… again in 2027?! With 29 countries represented, it will be in the UK for another year - will you be there? #ToughMudder #WTM #mudrun #OCR #ultra Proud of this team - worked together like clockwork. Athlete: Dasos Gonnella Physio: Pip Rainbow Sport Scientist: Becky Neal Helps when the athlete loves to run Winner winner, @ethosbrothers Vegan dinner 🌱🏆 Das started running in his 30s 100 mile WTM dinner jackets winners! 🧡 Mediterranean style menu There may have also been 12 Calipos and some rose in the tent… Not sure if anyone has noticed yet - Chef Das loves to eat! Passed down from his parents. So much so him and his brother created their cafe / speciality coffee shop! Pip’s pitch-side expertise helped us keep moving through most transitions, yes that is a syringe of pickle juice Priority snack selection BTS. Handmade with love, and vines from the garden. “Don’t do maths. Just run.” Das fully trusted his pit crew to make decisions. Caffeine and head torches were priority this lap. Pit crew did sleep an hour each. Thanks for the F1 comparisons, friends. In the lab @sportandexercisesciencebu to dial in the fuelling plan Das ran 2+ laps, and therefore 2+transitions, more than everyone else - if you take away two then the pit total time is 46:06, 2:18 on average. Welcome to our birthday party! Pretty sure no one noticed us running through the quick pit for 6 laps… Ninja warrior TV show learnings came through for this one Watermelon was the number 1 food item at the end of the race. Das can’t even face one date a week later. (Complete with floofs) We did it! by @das_endurance
