This short interdisciplinary film “Surrender”, fuses dance, projection, drawing, lighting, and sound to trace a figure’s journey from psychological distress to serenity. Developed with a third-year dancer and visual artist, it explores memory, environment, and emotional healing through layered sensory experiences. Water-like movement, projected illustrations, and shifting light reflect how the body stores memory and emotion. As the film unfolds, visual, sonic, and physical elements converge in a meditative reflection on mental health and mindfulness. The closing moment offers transformation— relief, gratitude, and renewal— affirming the power of interdisciplinary art to express inner states. Featuring: @dasgnoo by @dasgnoo

Tomorrow is the first public showing of my work-in-progress titled, LiKEWiSE. It’s a duet for two incredible performers, @samanthabuss_ & @_denise_chan_ Technical Residency + Presenter: @thedancecentrebc Lighting Design: @vbell.design Intern: @dasgnoo Outside Eye: @sfkrystal Dramaturge: @demandingdee Technical Manager: @_jeremiah_hughes_ Photo: @mkphotomedia Thank you to @thedancecentrebc for giving me a four day technical residency that has allowed the piece to blossom and level up in a way I couldn’t have imagined! There are still seats available at the door: 3pm Friday (tomorrow!) April 4. The work runs 18 minutes, optional talkback to follow facilitated by my dear friend and dancer @sashacooke.tango I am living my childhood dream of directing dancers and expressing myself through live performance.
