My 9-year-old is currently in her Japan era 🇯🇵

She is obsessed with Japan. Japanese food. Japanese culture. Everything Japanese.

Would I love to take her to Japan? Absolutely.
Can I realistically take my entire family to Japan right now? 😂 Let’s not get carried away.

BUT apparently, one of the biggest Japanese communities outside Japan is just 2 hours from our house -in Düsseldorf.

So obviously, instead of booking a flight, we booked a girls’ trip😂

My friend Gita got me a list of recommendations from a Düsseldorf local who actually used to live in Japan, so she knows the difference between “Japanese place on Google Maps” and “Japanese place where Japanese people actually go.”

👉SAVE THIS POST if Japan is on your family bucket list, because this is basically the “I want Japan, but I have children and a mortgage” edition😂
