Dasha Bough @dashabough is a multidisciplinary American artist whose work spans mural painting, portraiture, animation, and filmmaking. Classically trained in painting and drawing, she combines realistic portraiture with expressive layers of color and texture to create emotionally engaging works. Her art often explores themes of identity, memory, and human connection, and her large-scale murals are recognized for their striking use of color and thoughtful storytelling. In addition to her public art, Bough has directed and animated award-winning films, bringing the same artistic vision across multiple creative disciplines.

Basically. i heard this Carol Anne McGowan version of Mad Girl’s Love Song (originally a poem by Sylvia Plath) the other day (shoutout @loveizzystudio for the great taste as always).

The next day we had a beautiful model sit for a few hours for my class and she took this pose on the edge of a stool. This work started from the model but was about 80% finished from imagination/memory throughout the rest of the day. I can’t believe how wonderful and different it is to sculpt from the memory of a body.

I have been feeling like a bit of a “mad girl” recently lol. All of the little characters in my brain seem to be arguing with each other these days. 😂💀❤️ So I think this creature emerged from there, you know? I think maybe if there’s a little court scene happening in my brain, this mad girl is sitting in the middle of them all, just quietly thinking and daydreaming as the lawyers make their cases, and the jurors raise their brows and the judge sighs deeply.

That’s all. Just a little madness for you I guess.

Little behind the scenes of the @silk.rebel.official Valentine’s shipment last week!! 💌💋

Peep me ( @dashabough ) finally learning how to gift wrap at 4am on a Tuesday… 💀👀🖤

You guys damn near cleared me out of silk! 🥹❤️

‼️ I’ll be doing a drop of just stoles and long skinny scarves this weekend. Waiting to list them until I can catch my breath and make a few styling videos. 💀🔥 more info soon.

In the meantime, I have a challenge: Take photos of yourself wearing your Silk Rebel in an unlikely or rebellious environment. I have received photos from Paris, from the Rocky Mountains, from the NY subway, from a rock concert— bring it on!
