Call me crazy, but do you book for the indoor amenities or the experience as a whole?

Im an experience girl and it was a delight to meet and spend some time with the new owner/operators behind @lawrencetownlodge.cottages , Ryan & Kyle.

They’ve been working their butts off upgrading the property and have really created something special, just outside the city.

Here’s what’s new:
Hot tub upgrades to every cottage
SUP & kayak rentals
A boutique shop full of local gifts and goodies
A community ice cream shop

Plus, they’re minutes from the beach, the lake and the park!

If you talk to a true cheese aficionado...like an Italian cheesemaker, for example, they won't tell you they make the best cheese (usually). They'll tell you that, to get the very best, it has to be fresh. That your local cheese is the best thing you can get.

Beekeepers will tell you the same - nothing beats local honey!

So when @tasteofns launched the Nova Scotia cheese trail, we were ALL IN for a day of learning and exploring and we learned a lot.

For example, did you know Canadian milk has some of the highest standards for not only quality and safety but also for animal welfare?

Did you also know we produce Burrata?!? Along with all kinds of other specialty cheeses, of course.

So the next time you're looking for the best cheese to fill a picnic basket or a charcuterie board, check out what our local producers have to offer. I bet it will surprise you.
