Hội An Dub Club Guest Selectah Focus
- Matty C - (Hanoi HiFi) -

Matty C has been obsessively collecting music now for over a ¼ of a century. It was a summer day back in 2011 at a big free party in the UK that Matty C 1st jumped on the decks in front of a crowd, armed with his best dubstep CD’s.

14 years later, Matty C has brought the vibe to party goers all over Việt Nam playing festivals, club nights, residencies, pool parties and more, showcasing a huge variety of music styles.

Proudly being a co - owner and operator of Hanoi Hifi Sound System AND the mastermind behind Hanoi’s renowned tropical parties ‘ Mango Heist’, Matty C is a name well known no matter where you are in Vietnam.

Matty C takes his music collection very seriously and always ensures the highest quality track for any given tune that can be purchased.

Expect an expertly crafted musical selection, unique to the event, and always with enough progression that you’ll be wanting more and more.

Not long to go now… 🌴

This Saturday we’re bringing @djoneman to Hoi An alongside the full SubViệt soundsystem for a beach party we’ve been talking about for a long time at @halcyonbeach.hoian.vietnam.

Cold beers. Proper sound. Sunset views. One of the UK’s finest selectors.

See you on the sand.

A few of our favourite Oneman moments…

1️⃣ Boiler Room x Newham Generals — a proper piece of UK music history. Dubplates, freestyles and absolute chaos.

2️⃣ Rinse Carnival — big systems, big crowds and London summer at its finest.

3️⃣ Outlook Festival — Plastician & Neffa b2b Oneman. Three selectors with decades of UK bass culture between them.

4️⃣ Rinse FM x IKEA — proof that underground culture can end up in the most unexpected places.

5️⃣ Boiler Room x Solitaire — celebrating the mixtape series that helped define a generation of UK bass music.

Five very different settings. One exceptional DJ.

This Saturday, we’re bringing that energy to the beach in Hoi An. 🌴

Introducing the second of our supporting cast for Oneman in Hoi An 🌴

Born in Singapore and now based in Hanoi, Sheereen has become one of the most versatile selectors in the region, moving effortlessly through UK Garage, UK Funky, Afrobeats, Baile Funk, R&B and beyond.

We’re excited to be bringing her down to the beach for a special sunset session before Oneman takes over the controls.

The SubViệt rig spent its first year at Birdcage, where it quickly became one of our favourite soundsystems we’ve ever worked with.

Now upgraded and based in Da Nang, we’ll be bringing the full system to the beach alongside @djoneman and a lineup built for the whole day.

No restrictions. No compromises.

Just proper sound on the sand. 🌴🔊 taken in Halcyon Beach Club Hoi An by @dashfuckoff

Locked In started as a few mates throwing UK bass parties in sweaty little clubs… and somehow it’s grown into a community that’s taken us all over the place 🔒

Now we’re finally bringing it to the beach 🌴

Oneman joins us at Halcyon Beach Club, Hoi An — sunset garage, heavyweight sound and a lineup full of friends old and new.

See you on the sand.

Clips from one of our favourite Keep Hush sets ever 🌴

There’s just something about seeing @djoneman in that kind of setting that makes complete sense. Open air, locked crowd, fat soundsystem and selections that keep you on your toes from start to finish.

To us, Oneman is the definition of a proper DJ. You never quite know what’s coming next and that feeling of anticipation before every transition is something that’s been lost a bit over the years. He’s one of the few that still gives you that feeling every single time.

As founders, we genuinely grew up on Oneman. Soundtrack to a lot of our early rave days… so being able to bring him out to a beach in Vietnam honestly feels pretty special.

Very excited to have him joining us at Halcyon Beach Club for our Hoi An beach party next month 🔒

Phase 1 tickets are still live and moving fast 🎟️
