Happy ten year anniversary to a morning my life changed forever 🥳 by @dashiell

This was my 21st Coachella in a row and, while we both have changed plenty over the years, it continues to be the best festival on the planet. I’m so happy it’s a joy I get to share annually with my wife and she even put attending weekend 2 in our wedding vows, specifically because of the better crowd and ironed out logistics. We saw some incredible acts this time around, but the most innovative set we experienced, one that I will be thinking about for the rest of my life, has got to be whoever the DJ is in charge of the music at the West Covina McDonald’s off the 10 freeway that was playing nothing but Christmas music in the middle of April. Pulling over for some survival burgers on the ride home and slowly realizing that every song in this McDonald’s was Christmas music was as mind-blowing as anything that’s ever been put on any stage at the Polo Fields. I had to go on Yelp and confirm this is a thing at this McDonald’s, mostly to make sure I wasn’t having a stroke, and apparently the relentless Christmas music has been going on since at least 2024. by @dashiell

Yesterday was Josephine’s first birthday and we celebrated with her first trip to Disneyland! It was a magical 8 hours in Anaheim and a genuine thrill to join the ranks of parents fighting for their lives, one churro inch at a time, after decades of casually observing from the sidelines. Experiencing something deeply familiar in an entirely new light through a child’s eyes is a remarkable phenomenon and it was also fun to add some completely fresh pages to my Disneyland playbook, like hanging out with a horse on Main Street or utilizing a cave in the back of Toon Town that quietly plays lullaby instrumental versions of Disney songs for an afternoon stroller nap. Happy first birthday, Josephine! We love you more than anything and you’re the only person who could make me head back to the parking garage at 6:30pm. taken in Disneyland by @dashiell

Bye @aftermidnight! 199 episodes and 1.1 billion views later, that’s a wrap on the digital team. Baby’s first Christmas ❤️🎄 Josephine got a 4K UHD Blu-ray of Interstellar because it’s a beautiful story about a father/daughter relationship, even though he kind of missed her whole life that part’s not great. She also got a bunch of adorable toys and books and stuffed animals including a white noise sleeping sea otter that is fun for all ages. And I may have purchased a 6.5 ft tall animatronic Buddy the Elf for my nephew from Home Depot with eyes that go in different directions, who can say for sure it all happened so fast. Time to retire her vast collection of holiday pajamas tomorrow, I already miss her reindeer toes. by @dashiell

Josephine Claire Driscoll was born on October 15th with a head full of hair, the chubbiest cheeks, and her dad’s ability to fall asleep anywhere. Her hobbies include eating, nap time, and snuggles. Emily is doing great recovering and everyone is happy, healthy, and thrilled except our dogs who have a lot of reasonable questions about what’s going on. Josephine just got here last Tuesday, but she’s already lived a full life. In the past 9 months, she’s been to Disneyland, Las Vegas twice for Dead & Company at the Sphere, EDC until 5am, Mexico, and week 2 of Coachella where I got a robust collection of photos featuring Emily and our daughter sitting down together on the polo fields. Josephine and I were both born at the same hospital and we brought her home to the same front door I traveled through as a newborn. We love her so much and it’s the funniest thing in the world they’ll just let anyone have one of these things. taken in Los Angeles, California by @dashiell
