Theme: JOURNEY OF KASHMIR
A journey through the two sides of Kashmir — Bairun-e-Kashmir (بیرونِ کشمیر) and Androon-e-Kashmir (اندرونِ کشمیر).
As you enter Kashmir, the journey begins with its outer landscape — majestic mountains, rivers flowing quietly through the valleys, boats drifting across the waters, and endless green fields breathing with life. A landscape that feels almost like heaven.
But as you move deeper into Androon-e-Kashmir, another story begins. Markets come alive, houses reveal their character, and the rhythm of everyday life unfolds through transport, architecture, and living styles.
This tapestry is a journey through time, where old architectural details meet new forms and changing designs. Every element reflects a different moment, while every design carries its own story, memory, and heritage.
🫴🏻To bring this journey to life, I merged multiple techniques — screen printing, Ada work, Dori work, beadwork, and mirror work — creating layers of texture that reflect the richness and delicacy of Kashmiri craft.
🫳🏻The colour palette tells another story. Inspired by Kashmir at night, when the mountains and valleys disappear into darkness and the lights of houses sparkle like stars across the landscape, I chose a deep, dark base illuminated with gold and silver outlines. Earthy greys, blues, and soft pinks connect the tapestry back to Kashmir’s natural landscape.

It's not about Huqooq Allah (the rights of Allah), for those belong to Allah alone. It's about Huqooq-ul-Ibad (the rights of people).
Humanity comes first. It's about how you treat others, how you treat every creature of God and how you feel for those around you🤍

🫴🏼 It's about character, compassion, patience, generosity ظرف، tolerance بردباری , and most importantly standing with the truth and against falsehood in every matter.

For hypocrites, it's easy to remain silent about injustice and oppression when they aren't affected by it.

🫳🏻🫴🏻My most precious artwork — Alam of Moula Abbas(A.S.)
While creating this piece, every moment of Karbala came before my eyes. Whenever we see Shabeeh-e-Zuljinah, every arrow, every wound, and every drop of blood tells the story of loyalty, sacrifice, and his deep love for Allah, Muhammad (S.A.W.), and Ahlul Bayt Muhammad (A.S.).
He is Alamdar-e-Abbas by carrying the Alam,reminding us of the pain of Salar-e-Hussaini (Abbas A.S.). He is Saqa-e-Sakina by holding the empty Mashk, symbolizing the loyalty of Amu Jaan (Bawafa-e-Abbas) toward Bibi Sakina bint-e-Hussain (A.S.).
He is holding Zulfiqar as Sher-e-Abbas (A.S.),representing the unwavering bravery of Ghazi Abbas (A.S.). At last, I wrote the names on each drop of his blood, proving his unshakable faith, sacrifice, bravery, and love.
And his empty saddle is a painful reminder of Karbala,yet it also gives hope for the final victory of truth through Imam Mehdi (A.S.).”
