Wow wow wow!! Words cannot describe the amazing time I had at @animeexpo! Thanks again to Billy Tringali and the @animestudiesjournal for inviting me to speak! Such an honor to have shared a stage with THE @dexdigi Dexter Thomas whose presentation on “Piccolo Is (NOT) Black” was amazing! I presented on Black anime fans and their relationship with Akatsuki from the anime, Naruto.

Happy to announce Dexter and I also received the JAMS Best Academic Panel award for our joint panel titled, “Black Fandom and Anime: How We “Adopt” Our Characters”!!!🥇 🍾🎉😭

We ran out of time during our Q&A session because there were so many folks in line. Thank you to all my supporters!!!! 😭🥳
