ACT IV: The Graduate

ACT II: Gratitude

“35 to 40 percent of college students experience the death of a family member or friend during their college experience”
To My Everything, My Queen, My First Love, the one I call Mommy or Ma:

July 26th, 2021 our life changed forever when you were rushed to the emergency room, a couple days finding later finding out you were diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. When I heard them words, my heart literally broke and I thought my life was over and told you I wasn’t moving in August to start my freshman year! But you were determined for me to move to NC, and start my freshman year, and said you’ll be there soon. From there on out, you relocated to NC as well, and for the next 3 years of my collegiate journey me and Che watched you fight cancer, also working and taking care of business. Ma you are the strongest woman I’ve known ever in life and even though you’re not here, I’ll always commend you for that. Always pushing your boys to continue with life and don’t let you stop us from getting things done. We lost you in April 2024, and I was so ready to give up and drop out of college because I couldn’t take no more, but your goal for your boys always was for us to finish college and go out into this world and become something better than what you experienced or went through growing up. With that being said Ma I DID IT🙏🏽

My Twin, My Best Friend, My Brother, we’ve been through some shit this past couple of years literally. However, through it all we been able to spend time with mommy, travel some, and conquer our dreams. You have been my right hand man the one to look up to when it came to this college life. Witnessing you go off to college and leave your mark there has been so inspiring, and if you haven’t heard me say it before, I am so proud of the man you became, and the work you’re continuing to do at your Alma mater. Act I: Leadership

Always been a leader, never a follower!!

Residence Hall Association is one of the big 5 organizations on the Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University campus. Being an Executive Student Leader on this campus has been a privilege and honor my last year, it’s not an easy task or just a title. Mama always said never given to you, it is earned!! Serving on the Collins Administration hasn’t been easy, but the job is done!

To the Collins Administration: I’m so happy to have served with each and every one of you. From the long meetings to the endless laughs, I’m glad to have been able to build bonds with you all, and wouldn’t have asked to be on the Executive Board with anyone else.

To U.A. Or No Way: Being your zone leader has been a journey. Getting to know each of you and building a relationship has been a rollercoaster. Each and every one of you has my heart and I wish all the best of your journey, and can’t wait to witness all the great things you do!! University Apartments up 1000🔥

To Justin: I would never think in 2022 we would be as close as we are now. You are my roll dawg, my best friend, my pageant brother, and certain but not least my President! Last year, I said I didn’t want to do anything senior year, but if it wasn’t for you asking me to apply I wouldn’t have been on the Executive Board as we speak. You seen something I didn’t, going through everything in my personal life, I didn’t think I was ready, but you seen it. You might not hear me say it, but I appreciate you and I’m proud of the work you done as RHA President!! You see me, you 10 times out 10 see him🤞🏽
