As I walked on the field at @allegiantstadium and took in the crowd before I began to sing, It dawned on me that someone will be doing this EXACT same thing a little over a month later during the biggest sporting event on the planet.

With the Super Bowl being tomorrow and the whole country buzzing, I’m still utterly amazed that I was fortunate enough to sing the National Anthem at that very stadium. Part of our brilliant creative team @silenthousegroup @thebazhalpin is doing the halftime show performance with @usher. Getting to represent the same creative minds of the most innovative show @awakening.wynn at the incomparable @wynnlasvegas has really transcended my perspective.
I am totally honored. 🙏🏿✨

It truly doesn’t matter to me who wins the game.😂

Is this the moment my son downloaded perfect pitch? I was singing an A♭ and I believe he came in on an A♯, but as I started pointing down he corrected the pitch himself. I literally posted this clip this week in 2022. Look at what he’s doing now. Who would have known? God did! 🙏🏿🙌🏿 #perfectpitch #fyp by @datuspuryear

Most of you know Justus from his perfect pitch videos, but this felt special in a whole different way. As a homeschooling family, it’s been really fun watching him grow learning Mandarin, and honestly, he’s been teaching us too!

At his end-of-semester celebration, he performed Jasmine Flower, and we were so honored .

He studies at @neweastwestacademy, where kids can learn Mandarin, AI Math, Chess, Speech & Debate, and more, including robotics, AI, drones, and game development through their Magikid Lab Camp.

Okay.. this is one of many posts y’all will see so forgive me in advance but the secret is out. THIS is why I moved my family to the west side! Las Vegas is our new home for the foreseeable future. AWAKENING.

It’s been 30 years since Tupac was killed here in Vegas.

I remember being at my sisters house the day he was shot. My cousin Stacy came into the apartment, out of breath, and delivered the news. She was horrified. I’ll NEVER forget that moment.

It’s really weird being the age I am now and having a son who is the same age I was when I found out he had been killed. To see and hear the things my son listens to and experiences compared to how I came up is something I think about often.

I used to listen to my brother’s cassette tapes. At 8 years old, I had songs like It Ain’t Easy, Me Against the World, and Lord Knows on repeat.

Oh, how times have changed.

Tupac has been such an inspiration to me, especially as a performer. He made it cool for me to be into acting and the “arts,” especially coming from the types of places we come from.

Since I’ve been here in Vegas, on my way to work, I would sometimes drive by Flamingo and Koval just to see where it all went down. There’s something surreal about knowing such a huge moment in history happened right down the street.

The brother was only 25.. Deep

This Bluetooth speaker beeps twice, but my son heard four notes (two pitches in each beep).
I heard the beeps but he heard each of the tones.
He played them back… and now I can’t unhear it.
What do you hear? This one still has me baffled. #perfectpitch #fyp by @datuspuryear
