The honor of producing the Hip-Hop Grandmaster Awards is all mine...it's a blessing to service the greats of our Hip-Hop legends for my 4th time working the show. Being involved for all four years is heaven sent. I've seen and helped the event grow to this magnificent magnitude.

However, let's be clear, this event and it's many glorious additions could not happen without the vision, passion and generosity of Felicia and Ben Horowitz. Every year they put their recourses, time and hearts into praising the greats of Hip-Hop. I learn from them and appreciate their graciousness in trusting me personally. They also make sure that the backend talent is top tier and hired @alexcolettiproductions as EP. I had the best time working side by side with the legend Alex. Thank you and your amazing team for everything🙏🏾.

This year was super special as I embraced even more responsibility than previous years. Seeing the greats enjoy our months of hard work was the paramount of elation. Salute to @c.d.o.c, @kurtisblow, @videomusicbox Ralph McDaniels and the icon @nilerodgers. All well deserving of the love.

Big shout to all of our talent on stage, @jaypharoah @roxanneshante, @djbattlecat, @dsmoke7, @grandpuba, @kgrfilms @syncladies @realjohnnygill22 @mrwigglesrsc and everyone involved behind the scenes. My personal squad of @brooklynbellacollection @karlfergusonjr @azziescott @murphdogg71 love yall! We did it again! 🌟🌟🌟

Hope to see yall next year and pushing for @paidinfullfoundation to be televised!

Happy 2nd Birthday for meeee🎉🥳🌟...the 2nd anniversary of surviving the aortic dissection that almost got me outta here. I thank God and all that is holy for allowing me to continue life on this level and experience all the highs that came after that unfortunate situation.

My faith was reinforced, my view of how precious life is was refocused and my respect for the many blessings I am lucky to have are loved many times over.

Thank you to Morgan, the Palisades police, Nyack Hospital staff, the Horowitz family, Babyface (yes, that Babyface), Dr. Hudson, Montefiore Hospital and my surgeon Dr. Goldstein (🙏🏾).

Love to my wife, my daughters, my siblings, family, friends, industry peers and fans of my work. All the prayers and love was helpful and important to my recovery and continued improvement. Life is indeed good...take care of yourselves and love one another.❤️🙏🏾

Thanks to @sherijohn_ for catching this deep clip of @mahershalaali & I discussing themes of manhood and farherhood @culturecon 🙏🏾🌟👑 by @datwon

Wow...just wow. God really be showing me that things gonna be alright! I had the immense honor of having a soulful chat with two time Academy Award winning actor/producer/designer @mahershalaali 👑 at the most amazing @culturecon (my first one BTW, shout out to the good brother @raeholliday 🫡). Huge thanks to my fam @jameswardiii🌟

Our convo touched on so much in the 30mins we had, and Ali was forthcoming with true from the spirit answers about his creative process, fatherhood, faith and so much more. If anyone has the full clip, please send it to me!

Big shout to the Amazon MGM/Orion Pictures (shout to @alanaoyam for greenlighting the film!) and Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother PR teams, thanks misstahsam. And to my sister @mimivaldes...I can't thank you enough for your encouragement, inspiration and friendship, I love you Mims!🌟 Thanks for being so supportive on this run.

Everyone, please go see this magnificent film by @curry_crayola He brought forth a version of our culture rarely seen on screen. Salute to you and all the success to come. You and Mahershala have more incredible work to do!

Thank you to the universe for this opportunity.

And to the folks that attended @culturecon, all yall were so fly!!🌟🎉🚀

Big shout to my brother @joeclair and his co-hosts, the homie @dj_iran and the amazing @peninabrown for having me on their show on Howard's campus. My daughter interned for them last year and made new family out of them.

I came out for Howard's Parent weekend and its been great. Stopped by to say hello and they put me on the show, check the 3rd slide! Had fun with the crew!

Love to yall and thanks for inspiring my daughter ❤️
