Hubb Wahid: The Vision 📹

Am I doing everything correct? Is this smoke my ticket to hell? Have my beliefs crippled me, into running towards hatred, before Love? What is it that Im truly searching for? Money, clout, fame, women. Will these clothes bring me that? Everything i ever wanted…

Nahhhhh. Theres more, so much more to life, to God, Allah, Elohim, Adonai, Jehovah, Hashem. I see you, everywhere.

So i stitch this prayer into every sweater.

Keep us safe, never brainwashed by other peoples fears about you, but constantly striving to know you, see you in everything. Keep us connected to spiritual, while never denying the needs of the physical. And last

Allow us to know love, the love that you grant to the Muslim, the Hindu, the Buddhist, the Christian, Jew. And let that Hubb (Love) guide every action we take.

Forgive me, Al Ghafir, for it’s you that forgives.

You may never know what I sealed behind my silence.
I pressed it beneath indifference, then unearthed it in the art.

Some things aren’t mine to keep, no matter how tightly I hold them. Perhaps that is what qadr taught me—
that what leaves our hands was never mine to command.

So I surrender what I cannot change, and trust the One who knows what I cannot see.

Know that I loved you, and I left the rest to Allah.

Diary of a Mad Creative Tape 5📽️: Malak Al Mawt🕊️

For something, or someone who seems so encapsulating, its taking time for me to come to terms with you. So much time that feels… wasted; even when Im running around, doing what feels like a hundred things. Maybe Im afraid of what happens if I do get everything I prayed for. The responsibility seems overwhelming from a bird’s eye view.

Or maybe I’ve been misled about you. Maybe you’re the only thing that can truly set my mind free, and at ease.

My mortality is something I wrestle with, so I procrastinate. I chase to control, but not to attract. I’ve become aware, but without discipline, it’s tortured me. But maybe you’re not as scary as I thought. Maybe I have to look you in the eye, and tell myself everything will be okay. And utilize your encompassing presence, as a Light to leave everything on the table while I’m here.

Maybe Hubb Wahid, One Love, isn’t an excuse to blindly follow my feelings, but a reminder, to love myself, and to protect what I know to be true. I’ll be returned to my Rabb. Battered and bruised but….back to the one who created me, eternally at peace.
