Sometimes it's like I need a quiet place to hide.
Lay back within the grass and stare into the sky.
Drift off into a dream, a queen was by my side.
I awake with wonder, and teardrops in my eyes.

The sun is shining, and a song plays in my head.
The cardinal whisperers by, I catch a glimpse of red.
This is the season when it seems my world's dead.
I Walk through the sunlight, heart heavy like lead.

I sing a song, and play the game of press decline.
Staring down upon a new set of empty lines.
Running through my head the options intertwined.
A pick or choose between things I can't decide.

Leave me wanting things the world can't oblige.
Turn another page and I am yet again to find,
In the end the choice was truly never mine.
