History. ✊🏾

I never thought when I was called to move to Kentucky, that THIS is what was written on the walls. Sacred ground. Centuries of homage. Seeds that are reaping what the elders sowed. 🌱

I am grateful. I am blessed. It truly took a village and we are now stamped in the books. All glory to God ✝️

Lauryn. Kristina. Latoria. Ellie. Kamuskay. Lindsay. Brie. Atyia. Dorlin. Odreille. Andrew. Liz. Cheryl. Frank. Jeff. Osman. Lily. Carla. Joel. Olivia. Tréon. Joyce. Nette. EJ. Bri. Jamaal. Allison. Cheyenne. Glo. Sarenity. Josiah. Dwight. Paris. Temple. Faith. The list goes on. From the bottom of my heart for EVERYONE that it took to get here… thank you. 💙

And to DC. Continue to break down walls and shock the world. Your time is NOW. 🌎

CSP. Thank you.

All of the opportunities. The friendships. The memories. The challenges. The education. The leadership. The platform. The early mornings and late nights. The laughs. The tears. So grateful for every single moment that made my last 6 years unforgettable.

Thank you for preparing me for this next chapter.

Dear NCAA,

I don’t think there is any professional opportunity that I could be more grateful for than my time representing over 134,000 student athletes with the Division II National Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Blessed beyond measure for the platform we were able to help create in order to advocate for the voices that often go unheard. NCAA, SAAC, NSIC, it was an honor… time to pass off the torch 🫴🏽 @d2saac taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @davaris._

Only dwell in places where your presence is VALUED…

These past couple of months have been very eye opening for me. Finished my football career, got a full-time job, then ended up parting ways in the first 3 weeks of work. I was so hyper focused on the “dream job” that I lost sight of the things that matter most to me in the workplace. Relationships. Collaboration. Community. Culture. A sense of value and belonging. But what gets me out of bed in the morning is creating a platform to see others around me prosper and I have found several fields where I can be… THAT GO-TO GUY with the answer, THAT LEADER that gives direction, or THAT MOTIVATOR that drives success.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME. #MakeItYours 🤍 taken in Phoenix, Arizona by @davaris._

Just a suburb kid with a dream…

If you would’ve asked that scrawny kid if he could ever be a college athlete, he would’ve told you no in a heartbeat. It’s because of the people along the way that believed in me and saw something that I didn’t see that I was able to get a scholarship, afford college, make it out the A, and change the narrative for people like us.

My family, my teammates, my coaches, the doubters. Thank you. CSP football saved my life and created a platform for me to grow and develop into the man I am today. Nothing but love for everyone that’s been apart of the journey. And to Billy, I hope I made you proud big brother. Your legacy will be carried on for decades to come.

Prez out.
