Custom @rickowensonline vintage low ‘Deconstructed Silence’ 🪡 Originally released in 2007, these re-edition pairs of Rick Owens DRKSHDW vintage low are based on the Vans ‘Old Skool’ model, made with a chunkier silhouette and premium materials. In the early 2000s, Rick Owens made a pair of sneakers for personal use, clearly inspired by Vans. He decided to limit himself to only one pair. The item remains unavailable, which is precisely why it becomes desired. Only in 2007 did he decide to release them publicly, and this is my interpretation. For this custom, I wanted to use three different types of denim, creating a different patchwork for each side of the shoe. The fabric pieces were entirely hand-sewn, requiring a total of 60 hours of labour. My first installation-it doesn’t seem real. We started working on it four months ago, when everything was just a drawing. ‘The big needle’ was an idea that came to me in China, a trip that changed the way I see things and opened up different scenarios making me realize how important it is to have a vision and be able to develop it in all contexts. The needle is developed in about 3 meters in height, divided into two parts (outside and inside the showcase) and applied on the showcase giving like that ‘breaking through’ feeling, accompanied by the stitching underneath that reminds of embroidery. I would like to thank everyone who worked and supported me in this project. Thank you @carloscardigno for helping me with the design , @mzzm_studio for bringing to life a preview of the work and thank you @brown_sugar_ofyourheart and @adidasita for making this possible. @puma Suede ‘Wornwave’ 🪖 The upper is entirely covered with a new fabric created by combining various pieces of vintage military pants. The pieces were first assembled using zigzag machine stitching and hand-sewn details, then individually cut out and hand-sewn directly onto the shoe. Finally, buttons were hand-sewn onto the tongue, and once the laces were attached, they were also distressed. The entire process took about 35 hours of work; this is a one-of-a-kind piece. taken in Italy by @davdilernia

Mizuno “Redline” 👹 A reconstruction of the @mizuno.it Wave Prophecy 1 through recycled denim and exposed hand stitching. The original technical silhouette is interrupted and reconstructed through layers of fabric, raw edges and contrasting stitches, creating a strong contrast between the precision of the silhouette’s structure and the imperfection of handmade work. Red becomes the connecting element throughout the upper — a continuous line running across materials, stitches and details, giving the shoe its name. The project consists of two unique pairs, entirely handmade, with more than 30 hours of craftsmanship dedicated to each pair. #mizuno #custom #handmade #sneakers taken in Italy by @davdilernia

Together with @mizuno.it , we created this installation for @antoniamilano featuring the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 1. The project began as an act of reconstruction: layers of recycled denim are layered and sewn entirely by hand onto the upper, transforming its original structure without completely concealing it. Each section of the upper was reworked by combining two colors, red and gray, while the Mizuno logo was reinterpreted through embroidery and repositioned exactly where the original was located. To emphasize the value of Italian craftsmanship, we extended this same aesthetic to the surrounding environment. Hand-embroidered panels form the backdrop of the installation, creating depth and echoing the colors and materials of the sneaker. I’m super excited about this installation.
