For any true fan of the resident evil games you should check out the novelizations by S.D.Perry. they add so much to the story and you get to see the thoughts of legendary characters such as Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, Rebecca,Barry and of course Wesker. You also have new characters such as Trent who works from the shadows aiding the stars in their fight whilst pretending loyalty to umbrella. What are his reasons, see the struggle for survival from a different viewpoint, starting with zero hour then the umbrella conspiracy, followed by Caliban cove then onto city of the dead, underworld then nemesis and finally code Veronica. Each is an action packed ride for survival against zombies and other nasties like the tyrant and of course nemesis. You will not find these novels dull, they are a must for resident evil fans. by @dave13509

Gail z Martin is a fantastic author, great at creating believable worlds, each part of the story is covered in two books, the first two the summoner and the blood king introduce us to the main characters and what a group they are, rival kingdoms and rival half brothers clash as one murders their family to gain power sending the other on a journey to stop him finding allied and love along the way. Magic, gods, swords, death, ghosts and vampires all exist in this world.

The second two dark haven and dark lady's chosen follow the consequences of the previous events, including fighting rebel vampires and for the main character a rebel lord who threatens his newly won kingdom and queen and unborn heir.

The final two the sworn and the dread sees the current conclusion and a war that threatens every kingdom and even the dead and undead, alliances must be made to face this threat as a dark summoner arrives to challenge the main character, everything is on the line and even his pregnant queen must fight to survive.

The characters range from princes and princesses to guards, healers and smugglers, each are so well created with excellent backstory and none outshine the others. Two main romances help the story along between four of the main characters, the others all great support characters. The world feels full of wonder and danger, you will not be disappointed by reading this series. by @dave13509

Mark chadbourn is an amazing author who combined multiple myths and legends, dragons and magic into one and all in modern times at least modern at the time these were written. What starts with two people investigating unusual events leads to the end of the world, a struggle they and three others fight to prevent in the first trilogy which ends with a surprise twist. Gods will aid them and some will plot against them, against the darkness of the night walkers. The first trilogy begins with worlds end, the darkest hour before ending with always forever,they are a must read for fantasy lovers.

The second trilogy kicks off with the devil in green then queen of sinister and finally hounds of Avalon, I admit I don't remember much of this set as new characters took over the story but it is a must to continue the plot.

The final trilogy begins with Jack of ravens then burning man and finally ends not just the trilogy the whole story with Destroyer of worlds. This story pulls it all together and picks up with the original characters but from a new perspective which will not catch u out if you have followed the plot, a ride through time fighter and even greater darkness than before, fantasy has never been done so well, my plot analysis maybe a bit off but please check them out you will not be disappointed. by @dave13509

Over the hills and far away, I decided to walk home after missing the bus home, even wet and rainy nature is lovely to look at. I even saw some wildlife with some small birds and a pigeon, took more pictures this time, plenty to see, passed the chadkirk farm and then up to the canal to head home. by @dave13509

Another great read is Ian Irvine's view from the mirror series. Starting with a shadow on the glass followed by the tower on the rift then dark of the moon before ending with the way between worlds. A superb fantasy about four different species in one world although others exist, a struggle both ancient and current sets the scene. An ancient artifact and a story set the main character on a journey that will expose him to danger, love, knowledge and temptation. Who is the genuine evil in this story is hard to pin point as each commit acts that could be considered evil yet in their view must be done to save their people. The series has two follow up series that continue the story but to me this the beginning is the best of them. by @dave13509

If you want a good series of books to read then I suggest Kate Jacoby's Book of Elita series starting with exiles return, then voice of the demon, then black eagle rising,then rebels cage and finally ending with trial of fire An amazing series with great characters, a wonderful built world, swords, magic, romance,intrigue, and an epic fight against real evil. what more could you want. The series has some real turns you would not expect, ups and does for all the characters. The fate of their world and an entire people rest in their hands, the great battles to come will keep you entertained. by @dave13509
