Color, pattern, and identity in constant motion… Dave Behrens joins The Creatives Trading Card Project Series 4.

Since 2002, his work has explored the idea of identity, both personal and collective, through layered mark making, evolving patterns, and intentional use of color. Each piece feels like a visual language forming in real time, balancing structure with movement.

Influenced by ancient cultures, science fiction, and pop culture, his work pulls recognizable elements into something new, shaping identity through contrast, repetition, and energy. There is depth here, but also a lightness, a cheeky tone that keeps the work engaging and open to interpretation.

This is about discovery. About expression. About finding meaning through the process.

That visual language now enters the deck.
