how could five days in a hotel downtown be so exhausting and so invigorating at the same time? Thank you so much to the Ottawa international animation Festival for inviting me to be a juror in the shorts competition this year. and to the OAG for including me in their wonderful exhibition, Frame by Frame. this may have been my favourite OIAF out of all of the 25 I’ve attended. already looking forward to next year ♥️♥️♥️

it has been such a pleasure serving as one of the jurors for the shorts competition this year at the 50th Ottawa Internation animation Festival. I feel fortunate to be paired with two such intuitive and expressive fellow jurors in Alexandra Myotte and Barry Doupé. It was pretty dreamy doing final deliberations at the sublime Riviera, home of the finest Negroni I’ve ever tasted. Please come and hear our decisions tonight at the awards ceremony, at the NAC.

so honoured to be included in this epic exhibition of great Ottawa animation! thank you to the Ottawa international animation Festival and the OAG for inviting me. It was a beautiful opening with many inspiring opening speeches - there were tears. Amazing work by everybody at the OAG, and extra thanks to Meghan Ho, and my old friends Chris and kelly from the festival!
and as always, thanks to Rune and eric and Kaada and the whole Norwegian team (and of course rockstar Mike Patton) for letting me help make this film about my character Eddy Table almost 10 years ago ♥️♥️♥️
ps last photo is one of Nick Cross‘s first films, Nick was instrumental in sparking my interest in animation in the first place, and directed my first work of animation, the music video “King of Magazines” for Danko Jones

Aujourd'hui, la galerie Fluctuart ouvrent les portes de sa nouvelle exposition : [In]Imaginable.

Située sous le pont Alexandre III, à l'intérieur d'une galante péniche, la galerie expose : affiches de films retro et comics pulp, tableaux de maîtres, figurines arrachées au Musée du Cinéma et de la Miniature de Lyon, dessins à la croisée du fantastique, du grotesque et du merveilleux pour une introduction au mouvement culturel pop du Lowbrow.

This is a beautiful corridor of dense, lush forest that is in jeopardy of being “developed“. It’s right near my house and right in the middle of Ottawa. the vinyl and book fair was such a fun day! so many great chats with old friends and new. great turn out. well done everyone at @saw_centre . thank you Jason. Maaria for being my partner in crime.
