When I got the brief for Becoming Circle’s coaching program, the aim was clear, create a flyer that reflects clarity, structure, and connection. This flyer design was a project I had to complete within a short deadline. Instead of rushing blindly, I leaned on my design process to guide me. The subject’s attire immediately stood out, so I went to Canva Colors to explore different color harmonies. I experimented with the triadic scheme — sky blue, deep blue, and a complementary accent — which gave the design a professional yet celebratory feel. But beyond aesthetics, I discovered that blue isn’t just a color, it carries meaning in nursing. 💙 Blue symbolizes trust, calm, professionalism, and care, qualities that are at the very heart of the nursing profession. So, by choosing blue, the design not only aligned with her attire but also reinforced the values of nursing itself. After that, I drew inspiration from various induction flyer layouts and crafted mine by adapting the ideas that fit best with the theme. The result was a clean and elegant design that balanced clarity with creativity. The design process is essential. It helps you understand the right layout and color combinations before diving into execution — even when working with a short deadline.
