I have to say that as the numbers kept going up, I started to worry that I had less time to be young, to do things I probably couldn’t do as I got older. I was wrong. Age is a literal construct of society and a number that means nothing as long as you nurture that inner child inside of you and continue to do the things you love and want to do.

Yes, maybe a little slower, a little more challenging, but not impossible. I have learned that it’s never too late to do something, never too late to start over and never too late to be exactly who you want to be.

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since we said I do. It still feels like it was just yesterday that I was lucky enough to marry the most wonderful human on this planet that I can call my best friend.

One year down… the rest of our lives to go Kebin. I love you each and every day more than the one before (still get on my nerves though).
______________________________
I don’t say this enough, but I am proud to call you my husband. I know the past year has been so wild while we have been busy working on our personal growth as well as working navigating through our marriage. It hasn’t been easy, but it also hasn’t been hard because it’s you and I, together, always.

I couldn’t be happier as we continue through this journey and our love story. We have so many more chapters to write 💚. Cheers to many more adventures with you. A word I associate with smiles, selflessness, and love. It’s not just a last name to me. It’s my best friends last name and my husband’s family line.

I’ve never felt more welcomed, loved and accepted by such a family before. I am lucky and I am ever so grateful for the beautiful family I have gained.

It’s been a journey, wild ride, and adventure to say the least. I wouldn’t change a single thing that life has thrown at me or to me. I appreciate every single blessing, heartache, all the pain and lessons it has sent my way. This is the only way we learn to grow or dwell. I chose growth.

Growth and awareness has been an instrumental part of learning to love my self a little more each day. Growth has involved learning what little David needed when he was younger. What he craved and what he loved.

The inner child in all of us should never be forgotten or ignored. I’ve learned that sometimes it’s painful and that I have to get comfortable being uncomfortable to be an even better version of myself than I was yesterday.

So I did a thing…

Back in graduate school AGAIN, but this time he’s going for that Dr. title 👨🏽‍⚕️. A lot more work and a lot more classes.

Just 3yrs until I get that Occupational Therapy Doctorate Degree.
_________________________
The amount of work I’ve put in the last 2yrs to get here (and a Masters Degree) I don’t think I give my self enough credit. It’s been a journey and a new one awaits me.

This is the CoHort I get to be friends and colleagues with the next couple of years 🩵. We will be family by the end.

So, I decided to come back from my Spin sabbatical a little early. You can keep the bike away from the boy, but you can’t keep the boy away from the bike.

Excited to start a new chapter this year with @cyclebarhillcrest !

My community ride is open and ready to be booked Thursday March 7th at 4:30pm! Go book those bikes! Run don’t walk 🏃🏽‍♂️

You can find me on the schedule going forward Thursdays at 4:30pm and Fridays at 6am. You know you miss those early morning classes 😉

I can’t wait to ride with you all once again. And I can’t wait to meet those of you taking my class for the first time in our new community 💚

P.S. Thank you @carlymkennedy for continuing to push me out of my comfort zone and continuing to help me be the best up on that podium 💚
