Unique Easter Sunday today, I got baptized with my oldest brother Jeff! What stated as a simple invite this morning to join us at church, ended up being spiritual pull to be baptized. As I stood there waiting I noticed more and more of my friends and family showing up around me offering support, many of which I had no idea were there today.

Publicly sharing this personal moment is hard for me to do, but hearing (after the fact) that my close friend Brady also got baptized today at another church, I realized we really haven’t even spoken to each other much on our faith. I tend to hide my spiritual side pretty well. But the past 12 months of trails has had me speaking out more and more about Christ to family, then to close friends, then acquaintances, some customers even, and now strangers at the grocery store might not be safe from hearing about the love, gratitude, and joy I feel. With how much grace and blessings He’s given me, the least I could do is share my positive experiences and let His light shine.

Like many others, we’ve faced a lot of challenges lately, and still facing new challenges every day. But it has given us an opportunity to come closer as a family and trust and rely on Christ more.

The same thing seems to be true for almost everyone I speak to, the world is hard, negativity, anxiety, and evil surrounds us constantly, but many seem to feel a pull right now to step up and be better, to come closer to Christ, to build a firmer foundation for their family, and to help uplift those around them.

He is Risen, and as I continue through the refiners fire each day I pray He’s by our side continually. by @davepolen
