Offside⚽️

My 2nd place winning submission for the #chasmscall 3D community render challenge by @_pwnisher_

A privileged young girl longs for companions to play soccer with.

I wanted to push my skills in art direction and create a striking composition. I really enjoyed modelling the art deco architecture from scratch, taking inspiration from atomic heart and bioshock infinite. It was a tough challenge working within the limitations of the camera angle and I spent a lot of time iterating on my initial concept and locking the scene layout.

3D VFX for @nhwvic - "Safety in Neighbours" Campaign.

Super fun creating a fully CGI aerial shot with houses illuminating the shape of a lock. Also had a blast making the 3D neon sign elements and animating the individual elements flickering to life.

The Way - an Easter CGI Animation

Based off the events recorded in Matthew 28:

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

I set out to capture the fear, awe, and sheer magnitude of this supernatural event—seen through the eyes of a Roman soldier—at the very moment history was about to be forever changed. When things seem hopeless, stagnant or dead, this is a reminder that the breakthrough is coming.

It was a lot of fun recording all the mocap in my @hellorokoko Smartsuit Pro II. Thanks to @foxrenderfarm for helping me render this beast! This project also allowed me to push my simulation skills further. I used Houdini to simulate the destruction of the stone steps, Embergen for the shockwave and dust effects, and X-Particles to bring the glowing embers trailing from the angel’s wings to life. by @davesujono
