This is the result of the first 24 hours on @namotuisland. It’s been over a decade since my last Fiji trip so I set certain goals for myself. By the end of day #1 they had all been surpassed. It’s been said before but it bears repeating, this place does not disappoint. 2016 RedBull Cape Fear event almost didn’t run because the surf was so big. Kobi gave an inspiration speech and the crew sacked up and history was made. At a mere 18 years old, Russel stayed calm, focused, and emerged the champ. Fortunate to help commentate the event itʻs still one of the craziest days of surfing I’ve ever witnessed. by @davewassel
