Some collectibles are more than just pieces of art. They tell stories, create connections, and leave behind memories that last a lifetime.

In this special video, we're celebrating the incredible life, creativity, and artistic legacy of Pablo, the talented Mexican artist behind El Mostrocomio, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Known for his one-of-a-kind handmade monster creations, Pablo brought beloved pop culture characters to life in a way only he could. From Skeletor and Battle Cat to Nacho Libre, My Pet Monster, and countless original monsters, his unmistakable artistic style turned familiar characters into truly unique works of art.

During my trip to California, I had the opportunity to see some of Pablo's incredible creations in person, including a custom My Pet Monster that became one of his final works. What makes this piece even more special is the emotional story behind its creation and how it finally reached its owner after Pablo's passing.

We also hear personal stories about Pablo, learn about the unusual materials and techniques he used to create his handmade sculptures, and discover why his artwork meant so much to the people who knew him.

This isn't just about rare collectibles or vintage toys. It's about celebrating an incredibly talented artist, the friendships he created through his work, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Our hope is that sharing his story introduces even more people to the wonderful world of El Mostrocomio and helps keep Pablo's memory and art alive.

Check out Pablo's incredible artwork on Instagram: @ElMostrocomio

Big special thanks to @bodystews, @dra.jaguetes, @thesecrettoysociety for allowing me to share this story.

We’re back at @route68vintagetoymall in Xenia, Ohio — and somehow this place is even crazier the second time around.

After driving overnight through some of the wildest thunderstorms imaginable, I met up with @thepaintandsuffering and @converse_chiq for another vintage toy hunt through one of my favorite stops in Ohio.

Route 68 Vintage Toy Mall never ceases to amaze me. This place is packed with cases upon cases of perfectly curated vintage toy collections, rare collectibles, monster toys, action figures, and pieces you just don’t see every day — and it’s ALL for sale.

Every time I walk through these aisles, I spot something I’ve never seen before. This trip was no different, and I ended up picking up something I absolutely NEVER expected to bring home.

It’s always a blast getting to hang out with the crew at Route 68 Vintage Toy Mall, and a huge congratulations to them for winning the @hoosiercollecticon Undisputed Championship Belt for BEST BOOTH at Hoosier Collecticon 5!

Stripe and Mohawk are taking over the toy room today.

These two are in big thanks to my channel members, @thepaintandsuffering, @the_usual_idiot, and @converse_chiq for the incredible gift of Mohawk (aka The Spider Gremlin) - and @mikesretroroom for the gift of Stripe.

This community has been incredible and I can't thank you all enough for the continued support. 🙌🏻

But now that the "hunt" for the Spider Gremlin is over... what's next? Maybe the Bat Gremlin? 🤔 by @david.apuzzo

The Big Fun Columbus adventure continues! After hunting through one of the most incredible vintage toy stores I’ve ever visited, I catch up with Jason, one of the owners of Big Fun in Columbus, Ohio, to hear the story behind this legendary shop.

We talk about how Big Fun got started, what it takes to keep a store like this going, and how it became the floor-to-ceiling treasure hunt it is today. Jason and I dig into the display cases, check out some incredible vintage toys and collectibles, and swap stories about the toys, characters, and memories that have kept us collecting all these years.

It's National Daughter's Day‼️ ...and to my one and only, Kylie - we've had so many adventures together, especially in just the past few months alone. I can't wait for the next one - and the one after that - and the one after that - and the one after that.... 🤗

You're so smart, kind, and funny. I'm so proud to be your Dad. ❤️❤️❤️

If you'd like to do Mom and I a small favor - can please allow down and grow up so fast? That would be really, really great. 🤞🏻😁 by @david.apuzzo

The Ohio Toy Hunt begins at Big Fun Columbus in Columbus, Ohio — and getting here meant driving 10+ hours overnight from Connecticut!

This is the first stop on my way to the Eaton @westernohiotoyshows, and @big_fun_columbus absolutely lives up to its name. This vintage toy store is JAM PACKED from floor to ceiling — literally. Toys fill the shelves, hide in every corner, and even hang from the ceiling. Everywhere you look, there’s something else to dig through.

Joining me on the hunt are @thepaintandsuffering & @converse_chiq and we find EVERYTHING.

Big Fun is loaded with vintage toys and collectibles, including Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Battle Beasts, Transformers, Ghostbusters, Star Wars and so much more. There are beautifully curated glass cases filled with vintage collectibles, plus an entire wall of rack toys — those weird, inexpensive toys you’d spot hanging in a dollar store or family-run grocery store back in the day.

And somewhere inside all of this chaos, I find a toy grail I never even knew I was looking for. The second I see it, I know I need it for the collection... but will I actually pull the trigger?

Then The Paint and Suffering completely catches me off guard with a surprise: quite possibly the greatest and most historic Hordak piece of all time. You have to see this thing.

After driving more than 10 hours through the night, what will we actually bring home? Will that unexpected grail come with me? And what else is hiding inside one of the most packed vintage toy stores I've ever hunted?

This Ohio toy hunt gets WILD‼️

It's been a long week with preparations and the filled weekend at @retroworldexpo.

This Retro World Expo was extra special. My Mom came along to help vend at the booth all weekend, and the entire family also came out to support and enjoy a really great weekend.

I spent the past few days resting, catching up on sleep, and editing this week's video for the YouTube channel, but I really need to take a moment to thank EVERYONE‼️

There's so many people that made this weekend special, I know your all know who you are. THANK YOU‼️

Thank you to everyone that stopped by the booth, bought something, and also told me they watch the channel. It really means a lot to me. 🙏🏻

A special thanks to everyone at @retroworldexpo for having me vend and as a guest: Thank you, @grailpapa, @itobandito_og, @pixelgamesquad, @rickyretroliberty.

I didn't get a picture with my sister, @jeanette.lee.isabella - thank you for surprising me by coming to support. 🙌🏻

There will be a video soon, and it's going to be a super special one. I can't wait to put it together and share it with you all. taken in Retro World Expo by @david.apuzzo
