Today marks the release of EVE THE ROBOT.

Imagine a robot finally discovering why it was created: years of research, rare materials, the world’s greatest scientists, an immense collective intelligence… all brought together to create a machine that cleans the house.

The day Eve realizes this, she falls into depression.

She becomes aware of the gap between everything that was required to bring her into existence and what is actually expected of her. She understands her function. She understands why she was programmed.

EVE THE ROBOT is the first collaboration on the album, carried by the voice and presence of Melina Rose.

The-One is out.
I’m not going to tell you it’s a perfect emulation of the Sequential Circuits Pro-One. It isn’t. It’s a study. Months spent inside the schematics, the datasheets, the papers, listening, comparing, tweaking.
What I will tell you is that the result moves me the same way the real machine does. Same itch to keep playing. Same warmth coming through the monitors. Same character that made the original impossible to put down.
Built at the circuit level. Plus a few things I wanted in it:
→ Koren 12AX7 tube saturation
→ Revox B77 tape model
→ Mono / stereo reverb
→ DAW-locked arpeggiator and 40-step sequencer
→ Sidechain audio input

Not a clone. An instrument.

This album has ripened in my head, in my hands, in my nights.

Today Human Machine is out. It belongs to you now.

I hope it finds its way to your ears.

A special thank you to David Braud, who co-produced, mixed and mastered this album with rare dedication. You gave as much of your nights to this as I did mine. To Melina Rose, whose contribution was a real discovery for me. And to SFK for their participation.

« We didn’t fight the machine. We dissolved into it. Willingly. Comfortably.

Human Machine is that album. Not an album about the future, an album about now, about this present we don’t dare look in the face.

Since Human Rising, something has changed. The fusion has happened. And the only answer I found was to dance it rather than mourn it.

This album wouldn’t have existed without people who believed in me when nothing was certain yet. And a discovery that changed everything : the voice of Mélina Rose. A rare encounter. The kind that redefines what a project can become.

A huge thank you to David Braud, co-producer of this album. For turning ideas into something we truly feel. Without him, none of this would have the same evidence. Thank you also to SKF for his collaborations on certain tracks, including the sumptuous Exit.

Thank you too, to all of you who are here. From the beginning or from today.

The album drops June 10 on all platforms. But it’s already available for pre-order on Bandcamp. And that really matters. Not because the other platforms don’t exist, they serve to distribute, to spread the music. But let’s be honest : they don’t support artists. Bandcamp does. Every stream, every purchase goes directly to the music, to the people who make it. The link is in my bio.

The machine is in the title. Not in the music.» by @david.braud
