I engaged two racist white men in conversation on the street this past Friday - it was nighttime and I was safe, but what's more, is that our discussion was, too - a safe space...so much so that they will no longer be using the n-word having now met me, a man of color standing in the gap peacefully and patiently with them, face to face, listening and responding, not reacting and spitting venom at every turn.

I actually thanked them for not holding back from speaking their minds and using that word in front of me, while respecting space for me to speak my truth.

The following day it reminded me of the work of Daryl Davis, a black musician and activist converter of over 200 white nationalists across America, who in turn have de-radicalized scores of other white supremacists in their own communities.

I don't have all of the answers; I once thought I did, like so many others in America when we just don't, but what I do know is that at the core of our national social decay are deep feelings of disconnection between each other which invariably paves the road to projecting all of our indiscriminate discriminations against the next, particularly when we do not reckon the dark brooding traumas within ourselves, which nearly no one does.

The only way to truly heal this between one another will never be more spit in each other's face, and until we fundamentally accept the roles and accountability that we continue to play within this cyclical dynamic, the collective trauma of our nation will continue to exponentially grow, ad infinitum...

There are allies where you least expect it; all it takes is a planted seed, water, and your sunshine...

L'Shana Tovah ~

A few years ago, I befriended a congregation in southwest Florida at a beautiful Hanukkah celebration in the islands...outdoors under swaying palms in the warm December breeze; they were very welcoming, sweet, and kind, and I continue to visit them for various functions and casual dinners whenever I am back on performance schedules in the lower Sunshine State.

Since that day, they have sent me Rosh Hashanah care packages every year, and members of the synagogue check in on me throughout the year which is very comforting.

Their overall and overarching message is for us all to try to find sweetness and peace between each other's souls no matter the nation or religious differences, wherever, and as best we can, that we may ultimately truly see each other...in ourselves...

May your Year Ahead be as Sweet as Ever ~ 🍎

I live betwixt many worlds of which so many choose abhorrently to not see, and I believe, to wit their own self-inflicted demise among us - as I burn no bridges, instead allowing others to succumb to such spent ash all their own...

I am entirely done with people that obstinately choose to live the Zero Sum Lie, believing that circumstances of life and its many very complicated issues, are always black and white on the humanitarian spectrum.

BULLSHIT...Get OFF your spellbound high horses, for you have not all of the answers...no one among us does...

No.
One.
Among.
Us.
Does...

My world thankfully reigns in the gray area between those black & white extremes, where true listening and understanding resides in the midst of so much abject chaos.

I will not ever-more allow anyone to repeatedly deem me directly or in woefully drifted inference, as antisemitic, simply for not agreeing with Netanyahu over the handling of Gaza (when most, if not all of my Israeli friends that I met while I was in Israel, live for and truly yearn for a peaceful resolution/solution to ending the bombings, disputed territories, and settlement encroachments like the rest of us. Does that make my Israeli Jewish friends antisemitic? Hmm???) Of course not, because this is futility and subjective assessment at its core, without question, even thousands of rabbanim agree...(Rabbis).

I refuse to continue to allow certain Americans' unaddressed shadow work and paranoia to attempt to shrink me unto such narrow thinking, as has been the case for several years now from some.

And...

I refuse to allow myself to permit ANYONE to deem me as Islamophobic simply because I believe that Israel, like any nation, has a right to exist - all countries have checkered beginnings, and we must find equitable ways to accommodate ALL of the people within their borders...Period.

And...

I ABSOLUTELY refuse to allow anyone in my closest orbits to deem that all Democrats are this or that, or that all Republicans are this or that (Think the new Lincoln Project Republicans...).

I'm just done with narrow minds in my most intimate orbits, as I only have (Maybe) thirty more years on this earth, to curate my peace... by @david.eons

Attn: Pink Floyd fans 📢‼️

New edition to the month:

Just got the call - hired gun on sax for the Pink Floyd tribute band, Any Colour, passing through town at the end of the month.

@mercurymusiclounge

Tribute band hires are always a great deal of fun dissection, on many levels; my last tribute hire on horn was for the R.E.M tribute band, Dead Letter Office, out of Buffalo NY.

Pink Floyd, however, is one of my favorite rock bands of all time, so this will be extra special, and even moreso if you can join us for this magical night.

Our light show alone...

The Independence of Being an Independent

What I find myself celebrating more and more, is the newfound freedom attained following my decision to leave the ultra-left several years ago.

The thing that I observe most in myself and others, now that I have crossed the four-year threshold into unpacking my own trauma wounds and shadow work, is that the vast majority of us are insecurely attached whilst invariably projecting much if not all of our internal shame wounds onto others, thus placing impossible expectations onto our targets (yes, targets) while deeming ourselves perfectly unblemished and unaccountable to our own blind spots.

This, in many cases becomes our persona - more often than not, an unruly construct that we misguidedly feel is our superpower, of which we inflict onto others through subconscious manipulations that we repeatedly deem as, virtue.

I once believed myself to possess all answers to everything sociopolitical under the sun, and anyone - left, right, and center, who saw things even slightly different than I did, were immediately labeled as an enemy...a threat.

Yes, a threat, because it came from a place of fear, fear of not controlling the narrative...

That is nowhere near the realm of deeper wisdom, and I see that now.

What I also see, are so many on the far ends of the political spectrum continuing to live in the same elitist frequency as I once did, not realizing that their behavioral indexes are truly exactly the same, only with different outcome measures, breathing life into their wanton tribal identity politics.

Every holiday brings forth yet another round of left-tinged assaults - ranging this weekend from certain people hoping that anyone participating in setting off fireworks gets physically maimed for doing so, due to their overall political beliefs, to others openly dictating that everyone essentially needs to boycott this or that company...or else they will publicly shame you.

So blisteringly conceited - an egoic self-aggrandizement of staggering degree.

Let us focus on what brings us together, for it is abundantly clear that the country has had more than enough of the opposite...

All Sold...

I never anticipated just how much joy I'd experience by helping friends and strangers get behind the wheel again to return to their standards of living - for themselves, their careers, and/or their families.

Their happiness lights me up inside, and is rather addictive; they always feel comfortable opening up to me per the value proposition of my deals meeting their varying personal needs.

Initially, I had only endeavored to help people through this past tax season, but recently while in Mexico, I realized that I can do this from anywhere in the world as a part-time (albeit one day leaning more full-time) digital nomad...

Other very different sales funnels remain in action apart from vehicles, but this post is meant to stay in one lane...pun very much intended.

Do you or a loved one need a truck or car?
My network and I are never too far...

Lottery League is THE QUINTESSENTIAL Rock festival in Cleveland - comprised of a lottery-drawn four person group of musicians of varying instruments never before to have played together (or even) lived together, who are given 75 days to come up with a ten minute rockin' set regardless of their random instrumentation, designed to ultimately wow attendees rotating between four stages all day at the @ingenuitycleveland warehouse.
