Today, many are celebrating the resurrection of Christ on this Easter Sunday. HE IS RISEN!!!!

The Gnostics believe in the allegory of Christ as well as the living being.

What does that mean? We all can die and be resurrected. In this teaching, it’s not the body that dies, but the ego, trauma, and shame.

It is the inference that caused us to sin against others and, more importantly, against ourselves. (Karma.)

If we take the time to focus inward, take responsibility, understand, and give grace to our chaos, that revelation is the resurrection of a more enlightened being and soul.

That death is hard, yet sweet. It is the transmutation in Spiral Dynamics where we move through the darkness of one state into the light of another. It is a never-ending process of enlightenment.

See the Christ in yourself and others….

Jesus’ teachings were to be Christlike. Hence, flawed, not perfect; that peace was attainable through looking within and……without.

You, who have done the work to heal yourself of that which binds you to your ignorance, have risen. Selah.

For me, today is a recognition of my resurrection from a man who was very dishonest because I feared hurting people with the truth. My white lies became dark dungeons of excuses to justify my actions.

Now, I’d rather hurt you with truth, than hurt you with lies. The greater ignorance, that it won’t destroy us both. by @david.gregory.casler

Of all the things I’ve chosen to become, the role I am most proud of is being a father.

My grandmother once told me that, from a very young age, she could see I wanted to be a dad. She believed it was because my family broke apart early on, and that somewhere deep inside, I longed for a family of my own.

She was a wise woman. I think it was partly that. But I also had an amazing father and a loving mother. Even though they separated, they still gave me beautiful examples of what to do—and what not to do. And even though I failed at times and repeated some of their mistakes, those lessons never left me.

All children eventually look upon their parents as deeply flawed human beings. Becoming a parent does not free you from that inevitable reckoning. If anything, it brings you face to face with your own humanity even more profoundly. And with wisdom, we learn not only to seek forgiveness, but to give it.

The deepest healing comes when you stop pretending to be whole and finally accept how much within you still needs work. Ideally, we do that healing before bringing children into this world. But life rarely unfolds so neatly. More often, our children become part of the healing itself. The current flows both ways.

Since my divorce nearly three years ago, I have carried a constant sense of indignity within me. The loss of security I helped build. The loss of precious moments I can never reclaim. The loss of the future I believed I was creating for my family. The feeling of being cast aside, scattered to the wind, and then somehow made to feel responsible for the storm itself.

But within those dark moments, I began to see my karma more clearly. I saw the lessons the universe was placing before me—the places where I needed to take accountability, soften my ego, and become a better man.

And in that seeing, I found the path toward redemption—not through punishment, but through healing. Through learning to hold space for others as they heal too.

In the end, everything you endure becomes either a blessing or a curse depending on how you choose to carry it. More deeply, it depends on your willingness to surrender into it.

All things serve. by @david.gregory.casler

Dear Dad, (Gregory David)

All those times you took us camping and hiking, when you would wake up early and we could hear the water boiling and clanging of cups…our breath freezing as it left our lips.

Dan and I dreaded getting out of our sleeping bags as the cold mornings were gripping to the bone.

But, wake and start the day we must. Hikes to take, nature to see, rivers to swim in. So you faced the cold first……making us hot chocolate so we could greet the bitter bite of the early morning with a little more warmth.

It’s now the first thing I do……with myself and my coffee every morning, with my loved ones when we are camping.

I eagerly greet the cold knowing someone has to boil the water and provide for the warmth for others…..and in that, I am warmed because I take pride and purpose in that magical traditions of love and being loved.

Thank you

It’s rare that a father and son will sit in the medicine together. Even rarer for the moment to be captured for others to share.

As we lay next to each other, I felt his hand and soul reach out for safety and stability. When I felt balance return, I placed his hands on his heart, and my soul said, “You got this. Fly. Sit with yourself and learn to navigate the unknown fears. I’m here.”

Later, when I was facing my own fear and the grief was overwhelmingly beautiful, with tears in my eyes, I felt him reach out again. This time, his soul said, “I got you, Dad.”

Feeling his masculine and feminine hold space for me, watching him learn how to create and balance the container while being in the medicine himself, was extraordinary, especially during one’s first experiences with Mother Ayahuasca.

When he went to the altar and collapsed, writhing in his own journey, all I could do was smile and think, “I’m so proud of you. You got this. And it’s okay if you don’t. It all serves.”

Then, the divine feminine came.
Almost every woman sitting around him—his energy calling out to them, and theirs to him. A circle of protection, almost like a rebirth and initiation.

Then the shaman came to him. Divinely guided, recognizing the seed blooming—a path seldom walked and even fewer fully endeavor into. The infinite paths.

As they left, it was my turn to drape my body over him and just love him.
When he sat up, we held hands. Anchoring. Soul-gazing.

It was my turn to show him how to create the container and be in it, without expectation or projection. Feel. Breathe. Release.

Deepen one’s own breath, louder, without words, so the other can attune. Keep the gaze, no matter what, and co-regulate.
Feel. Breathe. Release.

When the pain of loss entered once again and was released through tears, my son leaned into me and held me.
His soul saying, “I got you.”

His holding me was healing me from the shadow; “Horrible father, husband and person.”

I holding him, healing him from the shadow; “Crazy.” “Kill yourself!” “Bad person.”

We are not what others think of us. We are what we choose to believe. Those beliefs can change, even if others don’t.

The moments she looks at me with a scowl and a smile…

I know I’m going to be narrating the entire night on the ride home like it’s our very own rom-com, and she’s going to be crying laughing.

Some believe love is measured by the years a relationship endures. Others believe it’s measured by the intensity of what is felt.

I believe love is revealed in something far more profound.

It lives in the difficult conversations, the vulnerable disagreements, and the moments when two people choose to be fully seen instead of simply being right. Love isn’t the absence of conflict. It’s the willingness to meet one another in honesty, endure discomfort with grace, and return with greater understanding than before.

The strongest relationships aren’t the ones without disagreement. They’re the ones where every disagreement becomes an invitation to know each other more deeply, to choose one another again, and to let love evolve.

Time may count the years, and feelings may color the moments, but I believe love is ultimately measured by what happens after the hardest conversations. When two souls emerge from conflict with more compassion, more trust, and a deeper appreciation for one another than they had before. That is where love becomes enduring.

“Aia nō i ke kō a ke au.”

The outcome is in the hands of time.

There are seasons in life where everything you’ve been building quietly begins to converge.

This trip was one of those seasons.

Watching my boys stand where they once played as little kids… seeing the men they’re becoming… realizing that one day these photos will become their memories of me. That alone is enough to stop time for a moment.

I was blessed to receive my kākau, something I don’t wear as decoration, but as a commitment. A reminder that every mark on our bodies should first be carved into our character.

I watched the sunrise over the Pacific and was reminded that every morning creation begins again. No matter what yesterday held.

I watched the woman I love receive her own beautiful kākau, and I fell in love with her all over again. There is something sacred about witnessing someone choose to carry their story with such intention.

There were quiet conversations, family laughter, long drives, ocean swims, tears, embraces that needed no words, and moments where I simply looked around and thought…

This is enough.

Not because life is perfect.

But because presence is.

The older I get, the less I believe wealth is measured by what we own.

It’s measured by the people who make us feel at home.
By the sunsets that remind us how small we are.
By traditions that outlive us.
By the courage to become who we were always meant to be.

In that meaning, a presence felt, is purpose. by @david.gregory.casler

I had a beautiful meditation today.

There was a quiet understanding of what each of my children needed from me—how I am being called to show up for each of them individually. It felt less like thinking and more like listening, as if I could hear what their souls were saying without words.

Sydney: “Grow with me.”
A new season of our relationship is unfolding, and she is inviting me into it.

My Pie Pie, Piper: “Don’t stop surprising me.”
Keep bringing wonder, play, and delight into our connection.

Theodore: “Don’t forget me.”
A gentle reminder that every child longs to be seen and remembered.

Christian: “You can do it.”
A reflection of belief, encouragement, and the courage to step fully into life.

Nicholas: “I got you.”
A bond built on trust, loyalty, and the quiet knowing that we are there for each other.

Gabriel: “You and me.”
Simple. Pure. Sacred. The desire for connection itself.

There is a beauty in fatherhood, it is the willingness to listen not only to what is spoken, but to what is silently being asked for through their presence, their behavior, and their becoming.

As I move into this next epoch of my life, the gray hairs feel less like aging and more like initiation—an invitation into a deeper stewardship of whatever wisdom I have earned. And yet, wisdom is a curious thing. The more I speak it, the more it asks something of me.

Whether I am speaking to my children, the executives I advise, my beloved partner, or a stranger whose path briefly intersects with mine, I find myself seeking a kind of mystical attunement—a resonance between what is spoken and what is lived.

The words are not meant to elevate me. They are meant to elevate me into themselves.

Each insight, each piece of guidance, each truth I offer becomes an invitation for my mortal self to rise and embody the very frequency of the wisdom moving through me.

Perhaps that is the real work of aging—not accumulating knowledge, but becoming increasingly congruent with it.

This is the least of what I can pass on. Don’t just say the words, embody a presence greater than anything that could be spoken.

Oh, serendipity, I love you.

There we were at the @crockerart gallery for the annual fundraiser. Josephine wanted @linfeifeiart cherry blossom painting, and we bid on it. But when we sat down at our table, we realized a beautiful couple wanted it even more. So we chose not to keep bidding.

Earlier that evening, we had seen this amazing bunny sculpture by Camille Vandenberge, and Josephine instantly fell in love with it. I smiled and said, “You bid.” It became an exercise in conviction and surrender. We won.

Weeks before the event—completely unrelated and unaware of the bunny—I had been telling Josephine a story from my childhood. The first feminine nude form I ever saw was Playboy Playmate Gwen Wong, one of the first Asian women to appear as a Playboy Bunny and a groundbreaking figure in her own right.

Then, while we were at Red Rocks last week, doing what we always do—searching for great coffee, antique stores, and secondhand shops—we wandered into a vintage store owned by the amazing @mymisha1941 and found hundreds of old Playboy magazines!

Josephine asked, “What was her name again?”
And by some strange twist of destiny, there it was: the April 1967 issue. Josephine immediately said, “We have to buy it. I want to see what she looked like.” So we did.

Together, we flipped through the pages, lovingly marveling at the photographs and reading about her life. She wasn’t just beautiful. She was intelligent, artistic, and fascinating. Fast forward to today. We were on our way to pick up the bunny, and Josephine asked, “What should we name it?”

Two years since the day we met, and it’s still simple and sweet.

Our favorite quote:

“But if things get complicated… don’t worry, we gon’ take it slow.”

We scream it at the top of our lungs when that part of the song drops. Nothing between us has ever really been complicated, but somehow it became our agreement sung out to the universe:

“But if things get complicated…”

And the last part became our oath to each other:

“Don’t worry, we gon’ take it slow.”

Josephine, you’re easy to love.

And because you’re easy to love, I’ve come to hold the word easy with reverence. Not as something lazy or taken for granted, but as something earned through trust, honesty, and devotion.

It also gives me the courage to seek out any place where there might be dissonance between us and dive headfirst off that cliff together—knowing we’ll find each other on the way down.

I got you.

You’re welcome.

Thank you.

I put a ring on your finger, and you put a ring around my heart.

I don’t think it will ever get that complicated, but we’re still gon’ take it slow.

We attune to each other so quickly that it’s like seeing the intricate details of a hummingbird’s wings while it’s still in flight.

I see you.

And in your eyes, I feel seen.

Two years down.

A lifetime to go.

Acushla,
David

Ps. The artichoke….if you know, you know……. by @david.gregory.casler

My mornings start with meditation, a glass of water with minerals, some stretching, making pour-over coffee, and grounding myself before my meetings begin.

Before the world starts asking from me, I make sure I’ve already poured into myself.

Advising executives is fun….

Coaching coaches is rewarding….

Mentoring relationships is grounding….

Over the years, I’ve learned that purpose rarely arrives in grand moments. It reveals itself in the consistency of the small rituals, the unseen disciplines, and the way we choose to show up when no one is watching.

The life you desire and dream of, starts with the vibration you manifest NOW in anything and everything you do.

Fun, rewarding, and grounding equal purpose.

Building businesses, raising my kids, making love, taking trips…. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, no matter how small or large, deserves reverence and intention.

Most people wait for the big opportunity to become the person they’re meant to be. Wisdom teaches you the opposite: the way you pour your coffee, hold a conversation, keep your word, regulate your emotions, and love the people around you is already shaping your reality.

One of my favorite quotes is: “How you do anything is how you do everything.”

And after enough life experience, wins, losses, love, failure, rebuilding, and surrender… you realize that quote isn’t motivational.

It’s law.

Everyone wants the story. They’re hoping for some grand, performative gesture that resonates with what they would want, dream of, or hope for.

Our story is endless surrender—submission into creation—a quiet passion that fluctuates between the unknown and the known, moving at the pace of our own heartbeats. It’s an endless playlist of symphonies curated by the universe.

For Josephine and I, commitment was found without asking for anything—just knowing, just being. We never used the word “love”: instead, we speak the language of love:

“I got you.”
“What are you feeling?”
“How does that make you feel?”
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
“What do you need right now?”
“Tell me what scares you so we can move through it and go deeper.”
“I want you to experience everything in life—with no limits and no fears.”
“You dream it, and I will build it.”

Questions are needed when you don’t have the answers. She knew it before I did. All she had to do was keep surrendering until I was ready to do the same. All the while, her body, her sighs, and her soul radiated “Yes—now and always.”

The universe conspires to put all the pieces of a love story together. It’s a forgotten vibration that wants to be found—hidden in every song, in plain sight. It’s a long blue light that took this homebody and made him a rubber band man…

I’ll tell you everything as it washes over me… and in the end—which is just another beginning—it’s simple and sweet.

Co-creation without words… just endless presence in the moments that build the future and the guiding whispers of the universe.

Thank you @greeneandco for finding something ten thousand times rarer than a diamond and helping us create something intimate and one of a kind.

If you look deeply, you’ll see the heart beneath the gem radiating through. The story is just beginning……it’s the death of a-thousand egos…including mine.
