TWO YEARS. A novel by David Hovan.
Beirut, 1971. Alex Derian is twenty-two, an actor with a growing reputation and no clear plan for what comes next. When an unexpected scholarship offers him two years at Syracuse University, followed by a commitment to teach theater back in Beirut, he must decide what he is willing to leave behind.
Set in the years before Lebanon’s civil war, Two Years is a novel about youth, love, ambition, and the belief that the life we leave behind will be there when we come back.
