april and boz went above and beyond for me on this trip to Komodo, Indonesia. They paid extra to have my own dive master join us. Parkinson’s has really bothered my legs this past year. I honestly look like im 90 years old when my meds wear down (off-times. I’ll post a story soon to show ya’all.) @adrianuwang I can’t thank you enough for your patience and keeping me safe down below with all the fishys. one dive early in the trip there was a heavy current and he found our favorite, a mantis shrimp. I kicked as hard as I could to get over there but my legs weren’t cooperating. He saw me struggling and pulled me over, out of the current. I was so out of breath that I started to panic. he held on to me tight, had me focus on his eyes and follow his breathing techniques. I tried to go up from 70 feet but he stayed calm and just kept me breathing and focused on him. After a few minutes passed I was able to settle my breath and we continued the dive. I am grateful for all the wonderful people in my life who go the extra mile for me, not because they have to but because they want to. another great branding day at Rancho Cienega del Gabilan @gabilancattlecompany. the ranch is rich in history, and always a special time with friends. “Gabilan Ranch is an 11,000 acre working cattle ranch nestled atop the Gabilan Mountain Range in Monterey and San Benito counties of coastal central California. Our stewardship of the land began when Rollin and Arline Reeves purchased the ranch in 1929. The ranch is owned and operated as Gabilan Cattle Company by the Reeves, Baldocchi, and Boyle families….John C. Last night was a special one. It was my first time attending a @michaeljfoxorg event. This was also the first time I’ve knowingly been in a room with other people that have Parkinson’s. As I said to the @realmikejfox, it’s just a stupid problem to have (and the foundation should make T-shirts with that slogan lol.) only being able to function about 60% of the day as a 45-year-old Is almost laughable. Actually, I laugh about it a lot because as I said before it’s a ridiculously pointless disease, but it’s life. I appreciate the continued support from my family and friends and anyone that’s messaged me over the last seven years. Big thanks to @ethanahenderson for encouraging me to get more involved in the Parkinson’s community. To my fam bam @aprilbosworth and @boztank, thank you for your generous donation so I could attend the event. It means more than you know❣️
