2025 roundup 🔥 Another year in the bag and one of my most successful years yet! It's definitely been a challenge start to finish, and trying to balance so many different styles of competition has been tough, but we pushed on and we got it done! Highlights for me would be (in order of pictures): 1) @athx_games Championships 2nd place overall 🥈 2) @spartanraceuk South East 3rd place in the 2025 UK series 🥉 + 2nd place in both the Beast and Sprint 🥈🥈 3) @deka.europe Midlands 2nd place AG Fit Teams 🥈 4) Deka Tenerife 2nd Place Elite Fit Teams 🥈 5) DEKA Braga 3rd Place Elite Fit Teams 🥉 6) Spartan Midlands 2nd Place Beast 🥈 7) Spartan London West 2nd Place Beast 🥈 8) Spartan Ultra World Championships Ultra Trifecta weekend, 100km + 4000m elevation + 140+ obstacles over three days 9) Becoming an ambassador for @optimumnutrition_uk 10) DEKA Torremolinos 2nd Place Elite Mile Teams 🥈 However, despite my highest amount of podiums in a year so far, I wasn't able to lock in a 1st place on any of them. So coming into 2026 more determined than ever to keep making progress to turn those second places into wins! 💪 Top two goals are to take back the ATHX win at the championships, and qualify for and compete at the DEKA World Championships. Bring on 2026! #athx #spartanrace #deka #optimumnutritionuk by @david4004_fitness
2024 season Highlights 🔥 Came into this year with 3 primary goals: 1) ATHX Podium 2) Spartan UK Series Podium 3) DEKA Podium Happy to say I hit two of these targets, biggest achievement definitely being crowned ATHX overall mixed champion for the year at the finals just a couple of weeks back. Never expected to win overall, but put in all the work I could and made it happen. Still unreal! A lot of competition in the Spartan UK series this year, and a lot of ups and downs in my endurance running alongside all my other training, but managed to scrape third place! Sadly lost on a DEKA Podium after being hit with a nasty illness right before Tenerife which had been the main event, but still managed to come 4th in both Solo and Teams at Malaga (missed 3rd by just 80 milliseconds!) and qualify for both the DEKA Cup in Spain and the world championships, so still been a great year for DEKA! Final bonus target I had for myself was completing the Morzine Ultra World championship and trifecta, and successfully overcame the 104km, 5600m elevation and 140+ obstacles over the weekend! Currently at the strongest and fittest I've been, so can't wait to see what next year brings now! Bring on more challenges 🔥 @athx_games @spartanraceuk @dekaspain #athx #athxgames #spartan #spartanrace #spartanbrandambassador #trifectatribe #spartanultra #obstaclecourseracing #ocr #deka #dekaspain by @david4004_fitness
ITS WORKOUT WEDNESDAY! (Youth athlete edition!!!) While there’s been a lot of stigma around training for kids and young people, here’s what the studies ACTUALLY show: Weight training can help young people… ✨Improve their strength and bone density 🦴 ✨Help improve their cognitive functions🧠 ✨Can help with injury prevention 🩹 ✨Can help boost their confidence 🤝 Young people can start off practicing their form with body weight or light resistance exercises from the ages of 7-8 and build from there, with a focus on technique and slightly higher volume rather than maxxing out on heavy reps. Enjoy the workout and let us know how you get on, don’t forget to tag @deka.europe in any attempts! #deka #dekafit #workoutwednesday #spartan #gymmotivation by @david4004_fitness

From “I can’t” to “I just did.” We put a group of first-timers through an exclusive course Masterclass with our official 2026 Spartan Ambassadors. From conquering the rope climb and monkey bars to crushing the wall climbs and atlas carry, our ambassadors walked them through every single step.  You don’t need to be a pro to get across the finish line, you just need to take the first step💪🏼 by @david4004_fitness
EPISODE 2 EXTRA EDITION : RUN INTERVALS This is a perfect session if you are looking to get into intervals (which will help you get faster!) 6 minutes running at an 8/10 (where 10 is a full out sprint and 4-5/10 is your easy run). This pace should feel hard, that last minute you should have to fight a little to maintain the pace. Following this you get either a 2 minute walking break OR for our more seasoned runners, let’s try to make that a ‘float’ (easy pace run). Repeat that 4-5 times and you’ve got an interval session done and dusted in 30-40 minutes 💪 Let us know how you find it!!! #deka #workoutwednesday #dekaworkout #runningintervals #newrunnertips by @david4004_fitness

IT’S WORKOUT WEDNESDAY …. TIME TO BUDDY UP 👀 If you’re doing this workout solo, just use “Person 2” as your rest break 🤝 ⏱️ EST. TIME TO COMPLETE , 30 minutes! 🥵 RPE (Effort level) 9/10 on the stations, Complete rest on the rest breaks! THE WORKOUT: Person one starts on dumbbell lunges whilst person two rests, they go hard for 30 seconds and then you switch. Once you’ve both done dumbbell lunges 3 times, change over to row and repeat. Now that you’ve done two stations, you both get a full 2 minute rest break before moving on to section 2 (Box overs and sit ups), section 3 (Ski erg and dumbbell cleans) and section four (Sled Push/Pull and devils press). Give it a go and let us know how you find it 💪 #workoutwednesdays #deka #dekaeurope #spartan #freeworkout by @david4004_fitness
