What a journey it's been. As previously stated, there's always something going on in life. There will always be a reason to sit one out, not push yourself. I'm glad I didn't listen to that voice. First 🥇 place M1 90kg class.
It's pretty wild to say, I'm still getting better!!!!

Weighed in light 190.6 lbs when I was averaging 193 the previous week. Haven't been this light in a long time.

Squat 242.5kg ties my best meet squat. Moved really well but I was nervous being this light.⚡

Bench 152.5kg which I'm pretty happy with overall.👏
336lbs

Deadlift 260kg which I paced back and forth before talking myself into this lift. I knew it would be a hard lift, and it was. Got back on my heels a bit and made it harder on myself. I haven't hit this since 2019 in a meet! 💥

Finally doing some 🎵 ✍️ writing again.
Feels like I haven't created in a year... There's been lyrics, notes, ideas. There's a lot of life that's happened... happening. It's not like I don't have content. I still am slowly working on 3 tracks ⏺️ too.

I don't even know if I'm happy with what this new song is but I think it's more important to get back into creating art again.

Hiked the Bechler River Trail in Yellowstone last week with Dave and Hunter. Days were pretty much perfect, sun and mid 60s. Cold mornings and cool evenings, but we were allowed to have campfires at some of our camps. Once hiking, you rarely felt too cold or too hot. One morning woke up to frost on everything and an unexpected 4am rain the next. Neither the cold nor the rain lasted though.

We hiked in past Lone Star Geyser and were able to hang out to see a major eruption. We camped next to a meadow and around sunset listened to elk bugle and move through the trees for hours while steam came off the pools along the river that winded through our camping area. We crossed rivers mid thigh deep with waters so cold Dave went silent, which is a rare occurrence 😂 . We watched a moose and her calf graze just on the other side of the river. The last night we hung out on a little island in the river to watch sunset before spending time around a fire at camp. Lots of solitude on this trip, only seeing a few other groups briefly as they were passing in the opposite direction. The last day was a nice flat and fast meadow hike out with views of the Tetons and one more ice cold river crossing to make us feel alive. by @david__james618
