It is, of course, extremely difficult to do this "viral challenge" and limit oneself to nine albums. I won't do it 20 times like some folk! But here are a few that I've found inspiring, and have enjoyed listening to many times. I managed to sneak in ten. by @david__orwell

@helenmeany and I spotted ourselves in this photo in the "Spirits Of The Hoey" book about the Hopetoun Hotel. It doesn't say what the gig was. Anyone have any idea? Or see themselves in the photo too? by @david__orwell

@bryanestepa and I agreed at the Pyramidiacs show at Mixtape last night (which was excellent) that P90s are the best guitar pickups. We didn't discuss colours, but green is the best one of those. No correspondence will be entered into. by @david__orwell

Jason and me at my 30th birthday party in 1998. When he joined Golden Rough around that time he brought his expansive knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, country and rock music and the points where they intersected - and his cool, Clarence White influenced Telecaster style. He went on to step into his own limelight with a series of accomplished solo albums. I was fortunate to see him a couple of days before he passed, when he came to see my current band play. He will shine on brightly in my memory and, I'm sure, many other people's. by @david__orwell

Very sad to hear that Jason Walker has left us. A great writer, singer and guitarist. We enjoyed some wonderful times playing music together in years gone by. by @david__orwell
