My entry for the 20th Digitalpainting.school's challenge "Sails of Black Bones".
Theme was piracy and there was a Viking faction with this character : King Ivar the terror.
He's a greedy, treacherous one, as you can see it.
I wanted to make a "18th century" viking, as for me, a classic viking can't compet with pirates of the golden age.

You can see some closes up if you swipe :)

Personnal projet I did as the last illustration of the DigitalPainting.school Part 2 course.
A massive thank you to @adriengonzalez_art and @spartan_makes_art, your support and tips all along the making were priceless.

You can see more of the process (gif and research) on artstation.

Deja vu ? Yes. I wasn't satisfied at all with the old version (swipe to see it). So I went back to it, and had very interesting feedbacks, so here it is now.

My daughter was playing as a druid at school so it was a good reason to paint one !

I'm happy to show you the cover I did for the french Runequest Campaign "Terre Rouge", wrote by Karim Ben Djedidia, which will be available on September 2026 on Jonstown Compendium.

This is the first time I work on @chaosium's Runequest universe, it was cool !
More art to come for this campaign, stay tuned !
