Ravel sounds like swirls of cotton candy, the pale morning sun dancing around leaves, and your favorite perfume

This is his Minuet sur le nom d’Haydn (on the name Haydn), but I think it should have been named ‘Mmmmmmm’

I played this on a Graf copy, ca 1840

Notice the first five notes of the melody, B(or H in German)ADDG, spell Haydn’s name. Ravel sprinkles this motif throughout ingeniously

Proud moment guys: as part of a very exciting project ahead, I asked David if there was a chance we could record something together on the piano. We deliberated over what would best show my strengths, and discovered this demanding three?-hands Menuet by Ravel - I think probably my best piano playing yet, David sounds good too by @davidbelkovski
