I’m happy to announce our new studio Together Tattoo! About a year ago, someone bought the building that Heart Tattoo was in, and @squirestrahan and @russell.widner had to find a new space for when their lease was up last fall. Ultimately they ended up joining forces with @the_nooj from Bed Of Roses and joined both shops to form @togethertattoo.studio in a brand new location!It was sad that we had to move out of our former spot which had felt like home for the last five years, but this ultimately ended up being a move that’s a major step-up from the last location, which was already so pretty. The new studio is quite frankly the most gorgeous space I’ve ever been lucky enough to work in. It’s more than twice the space of the last studio. We’re an upstairs location on 7th in Ybor, with hardwood floors and lots of exposed brick and architectural details, and these crazy backlit slabs of stone. The shop has a lush comfy client lounge featuring a bunch of our personal work, a huge artist room, and friendly open workspace where I get to work with some of the most wonderful humans I’ve ever met. I can’t get across how nice the ambience is here— I just wanna be here all the time. 😅Oh yeah, also we’re above @ticosbakerytampa , so a good chunk of the shop smells like baked bread throughout the day. Even if you aren’t here for an appointment, I encourage you to stop by just to check it out and absorb the vibes. I did this tattoo of a color traditional rendition of Bakunawa, the Philippine moon-eating dragon. Done in two sessions, though we may go back in with some darker red lines and shading towards the base of the fins. We'll see once it's healed. Sometimes larger tattoo are like that.
