Today would have been my Mums 99th birthday.
This picture is one of her professional headshots from when she was an actress.

She appeared in many plays, had some amazing reviews.
Her contemporaries and colleagues included, Edward Woodwood and Yootha Joyce, to name a few.

She had to give it up when she had 4 children.

We always went to the theatre as kids, pantomime, plays, light opera.

This is why and where my passion for acting came from.

Mum would always come and see my shows, and was my harshest critic (rightly so)
It wasn’t until she saw me play the lead in a production of “A servant to two masters”when she finally said to me.. “yes you are an Actor”

I talk to my mum every night, she still inspires me.
In fact, this week in my ongoing scene study class with @howard_l_fine my mum helped me as a substitution in a scene.

She will always be my “Goal” to be the best for her and to make her proud.

Love you mum.
Happy Birthday 🎂 ❤️

My walking boots, that I wore to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, the Quarry trail in Machu Picchu and many other hikes, have finally reached the end of….
I’m a sentimental thing, and hate to get rid of things, but they are “fu$ked”

Buying vinyl is in my blood.
I grew up saving up my hard earned cash, going to record shops and sifting through to find what I wanted.

It’s so expensive to buy in New Zealand and these are just not available here.

So fortunate to find the Ani Difranco and Dion albums in “Amoeba” in San Francisco, on our visit.

EPIC - exclusive coloured vinyl courtesy of Amazon.

Happy listening 👂 🙏😀

Alcatraz - captivating, beautiful, fascinating, oppressive, depressing, scary even though it’s been empty for over 60 years.

The “Hole” had a very strange oppressive feel to it.
The garden’s beautiful.

Definitely worth visiting, but the overall feeling is one of sadness

An experience we will never forget - learning and exploring @howardfinestudio with the fantastic @howard_l_fine

Meeting the people we have known for 6 years in person and making new friends. The studio attracts the most wonderful humans that have genuinely open hearts ♥️

A huge thankyou for accepting us into the intensive and being a part of the studio family 🙏🤗
