@rabbbitttband’s first single is out today. I am sure I’ll have more to say when we release the record. I am unapologetically so proud of this project and so grateful to have made this art with Sawyer, Teagan, and Kyle. Sawyer and I wrote this song after he said he wanted to have a song that felt like “Dancing Queen”. So I guess in some way this is how I think the National or Death Cab would do an ABBA song. Produced and Engineered by me. Expertly mixed by @andyrecording beautifully mastered by @fallonesteven additional engineering @themattgoldman @brandonhighfillproductions @zackzoinks additional keys @harrisonfinks @matthewbenwilliams heavenly BGV’s @savannah.conley by @daviddanielthomas

@kyledavid ‘s friendship has blessed me in countless ways over the years. One that comes to mind often is when he gifted me both “Jayber Crow” and “Sabbath Poems” on my 18th birthday. Since then Wendell’s writing, philosophy, and character have shaped my life in a way few other forces have. He was a pastor and a teacher to me. He was so much of what this world lacks and needs. Rest in peace Wendell Berry. by @daviddanielthomas

Congrats to @meadowgladeband on their first ever release “Magnolia”. Produced & Engineered by me, mixed by @alex_farrar mastered by @joehutchinson . It was largely live tracked in my little drum room, and then we spent a few days doing overdubs and tracking vocals. The band crushed it and @lukebkcooper had a strong vision and was super detail oriented. Many have entered the comp chair but few have left unscathed. by @daviddanielthomas

A hot Texas minute ago @thebanksnelson & I made an ambient pedal steel/lap steel record together. I think it’s really compelling and maybe a little quirky hence why a company that rhymes with busic med rejected it from their publishing discography. Anywho, I’d like to upload more instrumental music to my Spotify account but Spotify for artists doesn’t believe that this is my account because I never pOsTed aBoUt it. Now I am posting about it so I can hopefully get ownership of this account. That’s all, thanks! by @daviddanielthomas

Spent 3 very special days locked in my studio with @savarycameron sometime ago. I think Cameron’s mind is beautiful and I’m honored to have helped bring these songs to life. We spent a day with @kyleneblett recording drums and then the next two days recording everything else, and taking breaks to walk the block and have a cigarette when necessary. I highly recommend making music with your best friends. by @daviddanielthomas
