Brooklyn is blessed with the kebab mastery of @sumac_and_smoke. Catch their next pop-up tomorrow (Saturday, October 10) at Prospect Park. @bibibakerynyc will be there too so you can have the full experience of Persian kebab and baked sweets. Voy voy voy. Go to @sumac_and_smoke's page for more info. These photos are from their pop-up at @coppermugcoffee back in May ❤️‍🔥 by @davidmahyardini

Hi Jimmy,

You've been gone for a year. I still can't fully grasp it.

You were one of the greats. The deepest breath of the freshest air. The straightest shooter.

You were ritualistic and disciplined in all the right ways. The swimming pool and wood shop were your sacred spaces.

You were self-aware to your own detriment. But that was part of your charm. That Jimmy charm. You had so much of it.

We became girl dads at the same time. We compared notes regularly. You started calling me Papa.

For nine years you got into my ear:

"Be a photographer, Dini. You can do it. Be a photographer, Dini. You'll be happy."

No one beat that drum like you did, Jimmy.

You will always be on my mind. Thank you. by @davidmahyardini
