I loved creating this shorter editorial look for a @hanzonation photoshoot I did earlier this year in Australia.
One of the things I’ve always valued about being a hairdresser is learning how to work in different environments. From fashion shows and education to content creation and campaign photoshoots, every setting requires a different approach.

For a photoshoot, it’s not just about creating beautiful hair, it’s understanding how that hair will translate through the camera. The details, the silhouette, the shape, the texture, the movement… everything matters.

Learning how to create and showcase hair for the camera is a skill in itself, and developing that skill over the years is what has taken me around the world doing what I LOVE.

Step inside the chaos, the colour and the craft 💫

Backstage at the 2026 AHFA Opening Runway, presented by our joint presenting partners @wellapro_anz and @ghdhair_anz colour met craft to bring "Love on Earth" to life.

The @wellapro_anz Next Gen team built a colour story that moved between metallic pastels and earthy depth, every shade hand-placed to give the looks dimension, light and that finely-spun, dream-like finish.

Then @ghdhair_anz styling tech took over, shaping it all into "hair as structure", rich, architectural and unmistakably editorial.

Under the direction of @______renyaxydis______ , Wella Professionals colour and ghd tools became the foundation for every look. From the first foil to the final mist, this is what it takes to send "Love on Earth" down the runway.

The energy at the Hordern Pavilion was unmatched, and the turnout exceeded every expectation. A massive thank you to the entire hair community and every single guest who joined the movement, from the industry pros to the hair-obsessed crowd, your collective energy is what brought this vision to life. This production wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the world-class brands involved, whose innovation and partnership set a new standard for what an event like this can be.
