A long drive along the Bassin d'Arcachon, ocean air and dunes, the olive green 911 Carrera 3.2 eating up the road. Thierry Lafond was at the wheel, my buddy and journalist Pierre Suze came along, and we headed to the Dubourdieu shipyard for a visit. We closed the day with a plate of oysters.

The Carrera 3.2 arrived in 1984 as the last evolution of the original air-cooled 911 before Porsche moved to the 964. Over 70,000 were built through 1989, and it's still considered one of the best entry points into classic 911 ownership today.

Good people, good car, a great day on the water.

We crossed Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the stunning Albanian mountains, Montenegro, and finished on the Adriatic coast, under the sun with the sea sparkling below. This video is made of few phone clips from the trip, just a preview before the real photo work drops. Balkan Rally, organized by @gobeyond.travel

Beautiful day on the Bassin d'Arcachon, to shoot the cover of the magazine Boat Heroes #014.
The Picnic Cabin "Wakan", built by hand at the @dubourdieu_boats shipyard, with Emmanuel the owner and his good friend, the legend Joël Dupuch - @dupuchjoel
Joël is a sixth-generation oyster farmer from Cap Ferret, the kind of guy the whole Bassin knows, who somehow also became an actor along the way. On the water that day, he was just an oysterman on a beautiful boat, telling stories.
Dubourdieu has been building boats here since 1800, the oldest shipyard in France still running without interruption. Béatrice and Emmanuel Martin keep that craft alive, one boat at a time, out of Port de Larros.

The final and most radical evolution of Porsche's front-engined transaxle lineage, alongside the 924, 928 and 944. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1992, built through 1995, in under 2,000 units.
Stripped down, track-focused, a real myth among purists today.

Porsche is currently marking 50 years of the transaxle era with "Forever Young. Celebrating Transaxle" at the @porsche.museum , a year of pop-up exhibitions running through 2026.

Motorcycle brings happiness.
I'm heading back on my Honda XR 600 on the tracks of Tunisia this November, with my buddies in the dunes, discovering new paths and new tracks across the Sahara desert. @_sandraiders , is a vintage rally-raid, a real Dakar revival, full of adventures and friendship.

On a low-wind day, I got the chance to shoot one of the first sails of the "Cupidon Fou" on the Bassin d'Arcachon. A 6 Metre International class racing yacht, launched in 1929 for Baron Philippe de Rothschild, who became one of the best French racers of the 1930s. Classified as a Monument Historique, fully restored, and the work is absolutely remarkable.

I shot it from Fabien's canot mixte, "Freeman", another gem of the Bassin. A short, calm outing that let me take in the beauty of these old rigs and the traditional regattas of the last century, still alive here.

@petro.surf starts now but sadly I won't be there this year. So here are a few images from last edition, shot for the one and only @000magazine

Sylt. Far north of Germany, just a few nautical miles from the Danish coast. A tiny bean-shaped island, constantly lashed by wind, facing a notoriously temperamental North Sea. To reach it, you even have to roll your car onto a train. I didn't expect to feel so far away. I admit it.
Ken Hake (@hake.trading )is a passionate soul, a surfer, an epicurean, the kind of guy who welcomes his guests with both simplicity and warmth. Every year, he gathers air-cooled Porsches in full Outlaw spirit.
A hand-painted 356 with a yellow duck buoy. A track-prepped Carrera RS. A gorgeous green 912, roof rack stacked with surfboards.
The highlight? Ken reserved the return ferry just for us, took the long route, and let everyone dine and chat in peace.
Out on deck, the sun refused to set. 11pm felt like 8. Just the sight of these Porsches boarding the belly of the beast was worth the trip on its own.

Julien's Porsche 968 Club Sport, full blue, imported from the States, roars in my favourite French mountains. We've been shooting in the cold, weather with the Pic d'Anie at 2500 metres as a backdrop. Atypical car, incredible to drive.
