The cost of a misaligned life - @chriswillx by @davidmcintoshjr
Biggest podcast guest yet (by weight & calorie consumption) - Scotland and British Lions Rugby Player @pierraschoemies But this conversation goes way beyond the 127kg prop. Pierre takes me back to his roots in South Africa: growing up with rugby as a religion, a family split that turned his world upside down, and the fierce competitiveness that started when he was a wee boy trying to keep up with his older brother. At one point, he was dropped to the D team. He kept going. We talk about love, family and faith. We chat about his wife @_charissa_schoeman_ , the girl he thought he’d marry when they were eight, and the life they built together including leaving their life, home and dog behind to start again in Scotland. And then there’s the psychology of it all: playing for Scotland against the country he grew up dreaming about, living at full throttle, and facing the question of who you are when rugby is no longer your whole identity. Roots, love, ambition, faith, and what comes after the final whistle. This one has some weight to it. Pierre is one of the most original thinkers I’ve ever had on my podcast and perhaps top 3 guests I’ve ever had. He surprised me because he is just as much mind as he is muscle. - Sponsored and styled by @slatermenswear @slater.mto by @davidmcintoshjr

Never meet your heroes, but most importantly, never let your heroes meet you. Something I wrote a back in 2024. Never imagined I’d one day be reading it to @chriswillx by @davidmcintoshjr
I asked Chris Williamson what he wished more people knew about him. I didn't expect this answer. @chriswillx by @davidmcintoshjr
