Ses is a designer/illustrator from Las Piñas whose work is rooted in basketball. He’s collaborated with brands like Jordan Brand, NBA, FIBA, and Spunge. For Ses, basketball was everything, until one play changed it. What felt like a normal moment on the court led to a serious knee injury. Recovery meant months of therapy, uncertainty, and a reality he wasn’t sure he could afford. Instead of stepping away from the game, he found another way to stay in it. During recovery, Ses began creating basketball art, developing his own stylized approach of big bodies and small heads. What started as a way to cope and support himself became his signature style, turning pain into purpose. Today, his work reflects that journey. For Ses, you don’t quit when it gets hard, you find another way to stay in the game. And now, collaborating with HOOPBUS means so much more than basketball and art it’s about building something bigger than us. It’s about laying a foundation, giving back, and setting the standard to inspire our community for generations to come. by @davidmurrell.10
