Birthday week 🧁 All praise unto the things of friendship, horror, and vegan ice cream. I got to see almost all of my besties (and Rafiki) between a visit to Orlando and San Diego’s Red Dress Party (a charity event where everyone’s legs looked so good 💃🏽).

The funk is over, all smiles 💙 Cheers to a better year around the sun ♎️

I almost don’t want to recap this month because it’s been so draining. When you have a job that requires a constant sense of joy, I think a lot of people miss just how much you might be hurting. And while I’m not really one to sit in my sadness for very long (or talk about it publicly), I wanted to be honest with my friends. This has been the most emotionally devastating time of my life. I’m both okay and very much not okay. I’ve never felt so alone, so sad, or so listless. I’m not saying this for empathy; I just wanted anyone who might have a different sense of how I’m doing to know.

But there is always a light, yeah? I couldn’t be more grateful for the friends who have reached out and made time for me, the very cool stuff I get to do, and Madonna releasing the best album of the year. There’s a lot to celebrate, even in the hardest of times. Plus, creating music with my band has probably been the most healing part of it all. I couldn’t imagine my life without making art.

If anyone put a curse on me, I just wanted to let you know that it’s working… kind of. Because I will be unstoppable once I’m better. It’ll just be a bit 💙 by @davidonparade

I love a supper club 🥂💃⛲️

One of my favorite things about Vegas is dressing up for dinner and a show. Pretty much anything goes. “People will stare. Make it worth their while.” — Harry Winston

The Bellagio Las Vegas is always stunning, and the expansive pools feel like something out of an upscale Mediterranean courtyard. There were some loud European guys horseplaying a little too enthusiastically nearby, but they were all very cute with sculpted physiques, so we mostly just watched from behind our sunglasses.

My first visit to The Mayfair Supper Club was incredible. From a magician somehow guessing my mom’s name to athletic dancers performing aerials above a completely captivated crowd, the entire night felt glamorous and surreal. The steaks and drinks were superb, though I might skip the sushi next time. Delicious, but only a couple of bites.

Nonetheless, a supper club is absolutely my vibe. Give me great food, captivating performances, and a reason to dress up, and I’ll happily dine and cheer all night long.

What’s your go-to spot in Las Vegas? I may need to plan another trip very soon. taken in Bellagio Hotel & Casino by @davidonparade
