POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the more interesting byproducts of having a television show and a platform, is the access it allows beyond that. I was pleased today to be invited by @tanyafirab to take part in a stakeholder discussion in Calgary about how the UCP government can address the issues, concerns and challenges facing the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Alberta.

Having spent time previously with @abdaniellesmith and the Premier’s staff, and today the minister and her staff, two things are abundantly clear: we have a long way to go. However, it’s reassuring to also know we have a government willing to listen and engage in the uncomfortable conversations. 🏳️‍🌈

2023 🥂

Random photo dump from the year. 2023 had some crazy highs, and lots of new challenges. But I guess we made it through.

Filmed 40 episodes of television, nominated for some awards, made the top 40 under 40 list, met lots of amazing new people, wrote a television pilot (thanks @emmanuellevaugier), saw some new places, read more books in one year than I have my entire life, and stopped drinking in November. I also cleaned behind my stove. Gross.

I’m at a crossroads as the year closes, and 2024 is bringing some big changes. But I can’t wait to see how it goes 😊

Happy new year! 💥

2023 Top 40 Under 40 🥂

Thank you @avenuemagazine for this incredible recognition. I don’t think any of us knew back when we were doing our first season, at that time just for one streaming service and filming at my house, where we would end up. Five seasons later, on dozens of networks and airing around the world, it still feels surreal every day. It’s the little show that could, and did.

Some of my closest friendships and most cherished memories have come as a result of this show. It’s a privilege to have a platform.

Forever grateful to everyone who has made it possible along the way, from the guests who appear, to the networks who air us. Thank you 🙏

Okay that’s 2022 almost done so here’s a random photo dump from the year 😋 This was an insane twelve months. My career reached new levels, I still find it surreal I have a talk show, let alone a second about to premiere.

I finally have everything I thought I ever wanted.

But I also learned a lot. If I could go back in time and do this all over again, would I? I don’t know. But here we are 😊

There’s a lot of really big changes coming, so I don’t know exactly how the next little while will pan out, but taking it all one day at a time. Happy new year everyone 🥂 I hope you all get whatever you want out of life 🍾

I figured since I spend all day on tv wearing a fancy bathrobe, it made sense to do my own line of them. I’m surprisingly nervous to see how this goes because it’s a new venture for me, so be nice 😅

We’ve been working on this for about a year now. They’re unisex, warm and cozy, but also lightweight. I’ve tried to make them as affordable as possible, but also keep them the highest quality.

Link in bio/stories. 😳
