POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Have you ever noticed that on a tree with thousands of leaves, no two are alike—that truly every single one is unique, even though they all belong to the same tree? Do you think it would be good for the tree—and thus for its leaves—if they were to fight against one another? How do you think a leaf should be in order to help the tree grow and thereby secure the foundation for its own existence? Do you believe there are better and worse leaves—or rather, good and bad ones—or perhaps that some are simply turned a bit more toward the sun (or away from it)? Do you believe that every leaf has a purpose? Could the tree survive without its leaves? Could the leaves survive without their tree? Wouldn't any leaf that fails to realize its full potential negatively affect the tree, and consequently all the other leaves as well?

"Monkey Mind" is a Buddhist term for the restless, erratic, and uncontrolled mind that jumps from thought to thought like a monkey. This "monkey chatter" (a constant stream of thoughts) causes inner turmoil, anxiety, and lack of concentration. We all know this feeling and how it feels. Add social media, short videos, news alerts, etc., and things really start to go haywire in our little monkey skull. When our brain works like this, constantly being tossed from one emotion, from one thought to the next, it's bound to eventually collapse from exhaustion.

The "Mindful Banana" is a humurous approach to feeding the "Monkey Mind" with mindful food. Enjoy!

human is who we are. Essentially. No masks, no stories, no artificial personas. Just pure us. Pure wonderful us. Not perfect, but alive and full of longing for genuine connection. If we stop all the bullshitting, all the comparing, all the self-defining stories, who are we really?

Special thanks to Eva and Eli for this emotional foto shoot! 😘 by @davidram_art

human

Being human is nothing short of a miracle in itself. There are these moments when we are able to connect to this wonderous and beautiful being, which is hidden inside us. Most of the time it might not feel that way, for us humans are easily distracted in a world that is designed to manipulate us into not being enough. It's time to rediscover how miraculous and wonderful we really are. 🤩

What does it mean to YOU be human?

DAVID RAM (Aut) X VISUAL FESTIVAL
Lotus pods

Herzlich willkommen in Joensuu! Bis bald @davidram_art

LOTUS PODS
David Ram
Standort: Freiheitsplatz

Human by @davidram_art & Lluis Martinez
human is an interactive sound and light installation that invites you to sit, reflect, and connect. It moves from digital chaos to natural calm, exploring what unites us beyond artificial boundaries—identity, connection, and what it truly means to be human.
