#icecreamman from Eli Roth and @horrorsectionstudios was fun and stupid and silly and useless and entertaining and dumb...in the way a 'good enough' rental with your friends and pizza was back in high school.

While it may very well give the @terrifiermovies a run for their money in terms of how many buckets of blood used, Ice Cream Man is nowhere near as disturbing, creative, and memorable as that franchise.

But I still enjoyed seeing it.

Overall, it feels like they gave a bunch of 14 year olds tons of fake blood and gore fx and said, 'We'll pick you up in 2 days-have fun! Whatever you guys want to film, go for it!'

And there's a great charm in that. It's all over the place in a fun way. For example, at some point near the end of the movie they throw in a fucking Necromancer. Fuck it, why not?!? At NO point in the movie were the rules set up in a way that introducing necromancers would make sense. But hey, Necromancers are cool so in it goes! :)

Again, I enjoyed it and am glad I saw it.

BUT:

If you are looking for a genuinely good, disturbing horror movie, skip it. See OBSESSION.

If you are looking for a great slasher film to turn your stomach and scare you a little, skip it. See TERRIFIER 1 or 2.

HOWEVER:

If you want to zone out, maybe get high, watch a weird as fuck blend of slasher porn and The Gate (and other similar pics of the 1980's 'teens on sci fi/horror adventures' subgenre),this very much fits the bill and it is worth your time. by @davidscottjaffe
