We’re heading back to Haramara in March 2027, and I’d love for you to join!

Seven days to recalibrate in Sayulita, Mexico. This week of conscious alignment will allow you to slow down long enough to connect with community, nature, and yourself.

Daily yoga, chef-prepared meals, open-air casitas, and the kind of week that truly sticks with you.

This is Kyle’s 7th trip to Haramara and my second. We keep coming back because this place is truly magical.

More info at the link in my bio. A few spots left - DM me if you have any questions! taken in Haramara Retreat by @davidste__

A quick update on The Recalibration: it’s filling up faster than we expected.

We’re spending a week at Haramara in Sayulita, March 27 to April 3, 2027. It’s built around practice, rest, and honest conversation, with enough space to relax and restore. Availability is limited, and the spots that are left won’t last long.

If you’ve been on the fence, getting the details costs you nothing.

Comment RETREAT and we’ll send you the information. by @davidste__

This is the final series of my September sequence

It takes about ten minutes, so I like to start it around the 35 minute mark of a 60 minute class.

The strap add-on in crescent doesn’t contribute anatomically to the peak pose, but it’s been a fun, creative way to get the strap in place for standing figure four.

One of the key parts is switching the lead leg after the forward fold. After flip dog you’ll head into the second side, and once that’s done I like to take it straight to half pigeon. by @davidste__

This is one of my favorite child’s pose assists.

The first thing I check in with is the student’s breath. Try to apply the pressure with their exhales so you’re moving with them, not against them.

When it’s time to release, come out of the assist slowly so you’re not flinging them out of the depth you just helped create.

Standing on the student’s feet is totally optional, but I feel it adds to the grounding experience for them by @davidste__

This is my favorite part of my September sequence.

It’s inspired by an awakening yoga training I did a few years ago. I’ve been slotting it in right after Sun B before we get into a core-activating series.

I love it because it’s fun, and it puts a nice little focus on the kick forward, which comes into play later for the peak pose of the sequence. by @davidste__

This is the Sun B I’m pairing with the previous Sun A.

Still keeping it simple, with a little creativity woven in. We start working twists and balancing here so students get familiar before we head toward Dancing Shiva later in class.

More of the September sequence coming soon ☀️ by @davidste__

When the hard moments in life come up, a tough conversation, grief, a breakup, it’s worth asking what version of you shows up.

Are you looking for a way out? Numbing it? Escaping it?

We can relate to all of that.

The deep work of the practice is staying with the sensation instead of running from it.

We get into this in our Off the Mat on Tapas. Link in bio if you want to listen. by @davidste__

“A further meaning of the word yoga is to attain what was previously unattainable.”

This interpretation from T.K.V. Desikachar contribute significantly to my recent class focused on Tapas. The heat of the practice, or the heat of life, changes us into someone who can do what we didn’t think we could.

This is the Sun A I’m using for my power vinyasa class through all of September.

The goal is to warm up and integrate the lower body, since there’s some balancing coming in Sun B. As always, I’m weaving in a little creativity while keeping it simple.

The rest of the September sequence is coming soon ☀️ by @davidste__

A little heat, a little discomfort, and a little transformation. Tapas is the focus of this week’s class with David.

What does Tapas actually mean in yoga? We’re getting into it this week and next on The Yoga Podclass. by @davidste__

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve shared a few reels breaking down different parts of the vinyasa sequence I’ve been teaching this past month. It’s a sequence I really came to love, and today you can try it out for yourself on the @yogapodclass

The Podclass version is a slightly reduced version of my full sequence, making it a little more accessible for practicing at home and in a screen-free format.

I’d love to practice with you sometime soon!

On to the next sequence. Looking forward to sharing it with you all :) by @davidste__
