96.8 GL

This meet I fell short of the goals I set for myself like 650 at 65 and 100GL but it also opened a world of possibilities.

I finally hit 220 on squat and 160 on bench in competition which were huge mental barriers in the past and now everything beyond that feels much more possible. I managed to pull 250 but just couldn't hold it, now I know that I just have to work on grip and deadlift has so much room.

This was also a perfect cut with absolutely no water manipulation and being able to eat breakfast and lunch in the day with no cramps.

Adding 15kg to the comp PB on the world stage and coming top 10 is something I am still extremely proud of.

Praise be to God for opening this opportunity for me and giving me strength on every lift. Thanks to my family for supporting me to go and everyone who was watching, and thanks to @yando_af for coaching me into this.

Haven't even hit 650 but road to 700 is already underway. by @davidthomas.vids

S: 215 (+5)
B: 155 (+2.5)
D: 235 (-7.5)
T: 605kg
GL: 94.46

Comp total: +27.5kg

Very mixed day, squats were good with a bit left in the tank, bench was also good couple more kilos but deadlifts didn't peak well despite a very good prep.

Insane fight for the gold @_number66 came through with some CRAZY deadlifts. I can't complain and I'm relieved to take some time off to build, once again onto the next 🙏 taken in The Hangar Warehouse by @davidthomas.vids

To be clear guidelines are obviously there for a reason, but it's very easy to fall into the trap of just learning them without understanding the reasoning behind choices. Learning why things are the way they are gives you flexibility for advanced clinical reasoning and ultimately makes you a better doctor - we need to stop being lazy. by @davidthomas.vids
