Hey sydney people! I’ll be doing a residency at the @chippolord Goodspace. 7pm every Thursday night for the whole month of May. These will be cosy and quiet solo shows, testing out new songs and rambles, and I’ll also joined by different special guest(s) each week, capacity is very limited, tickets are available via my bio link 🍂 thanks also to @debaser_events by @davies_jack_

So I made a solo record in July, in a picturesque old hut on JB's property. Ironically I don't have any pictures. We recorded the guts in a day and a half, one or two takes on each song, a run of banjo and harmonies over top. JB sometimes howling in the background, the occasional road train passing. I attempted to record it quick enough to get in and out of the studio without the walls caving in, as they often like to do. Perhaps like a living room gig with better microphones, and my non-existent identical twin on banjo. I wanted to capture the songs I’ve been playing recently in a more true to the form and feeling sorta way. The pastel drawing on the cover is much the same. It's what the drive over the nullarbor looked like, except I drew it from memory whilst out the front of the laundromat in Townsville, waiting for my pants to dry. Not so magical, but that's life. This album is short and to the point, JB reckons it's a morning album. I hope you think it's a nice to listen to album. The link is in my bio if you'd like to listen : ) by @davies_jack_
